    Default Sushi?

I'm on week 6 and I was wondering if sushi was something tolerated or even okay to eat. Any suggestions?

Yeah, it's suggested not to have rice for the first 3 months. Also avoid raw vegetables, another 3 month waiting period. But if you can find some with seafood, avacado, etc. you'll be fine Good luck!

8 wks out and had sushi two weeks ago. Ate slowly and did not have too much, rice went down really well, but there was not a lot. I do enjoy it and had the veg ones with ginger. Trial and error is the best we can do. Different for all.

I love sushi and enjoy eating it. The rice fills me sofast so I can't eat that much of it sadly! Sashimi is great form of protein - take it easy and enjoy!

Was looking at nutritional content on that last night at work, someone ordered it. And yeah like 65 gms of carbs in one of those little buggers. So I will not be partaking of that, still have alot to loose.

Did not check that, but I would look it up in myfitnesspal prior to eating the sushi.

Honestly, sushi is my FAVORITE FOOD and I had no intention giving it up for surgery lol... I ate sushi 2 weeks out! I got cooked just because I didn't want to get suck from raw sushi. I could only eat 3 pieces I had a shrimp avacado roll and I had 2 spicy crabmeat salad rolls. The sushi place I go to is super fresh and they actually made my sushi with brown rice. I just chewed really well and I was fine! The rice and everything went down perfectly! I would suggest not eating anything raw but a California roll or whatever should be fine!

i ate sushi (very small amount) at about 6 weeks - about 3 nigiri, and yes with raw fish. had to chew very well eat slowly. i'm quite lucky i haven't had problems with much as long as i chew / eat slowly. now (8 weeks) i am having a little salmon sashimi salad for one lunch a week - 4 pieces of salmon, some edamame beans, some seaweed & lettuce. very low carbs, lots of protein. have to eat it in two goes, even though it is tiny!
