I couldnt be happier with the decision to be sleeved. Im 5'4, starting at 250 lbs. Today I am 191.9. Im down 59 lbs in 4 months!! Last time I dieted it took me a year to lose 42 lbs.

I feel amazing. I didnt vomit once. Ive overeaten twice and for about 30 minutes afterwards Ive been in pain burping up food & feeling sick but it passed & lesson learned.

I can eat everything! Im addicted to crystal light. I drink about 3-4 16.9 oz bottles of water a day.

Congrats on your new you! I am too having an awesome ride with my new tummy, find I have more mind hunger, thinking I am hungry rather than I am. Writing everything down and measuring my portions is helping me tremendously! Walking two miles a day, when did you feel okay in the tummy area to start working out?

I'm a month out from my surgery and I'm JUST getting permission from my surgeon to start working out, as in using my abs again ... but I had permission to walk "very slowly" on the treadmill 7 days post op (I had to walk at 1.0 mph) and slowly increase it ... I'm up to 1.5 mph for an hour now ...

Best of luck! I adore my new tummy .. So far, I've learned I can't eat oatmeal anymore but aside from that, I haven't had any issues with anything I've eaten ... I can only take in about 2 ounces of food at a time before I feel full (I've gotten sick twice ... don't want to do that again)

I was working out 5 days a weeks about 1 month post op but I burned out quick. Life balance is an important factor to success!

Hello, LillAbee, How are you doing... I have selected reading about you because you and I are around the same weight I am 240 @ 5'6" BMI 35, last I checked. I am planning to have mine done on January 18 fingers crossed, with Dr Almanza. Then hoping to lose at least the 40lbs by a May2012 trip to Vegas. I hope it can be done! I am wondering if anyone on this site posts before and after pix.... I can't wait to post mine. You have lost the amount of weight that I could only pray to loose. The last time I remembering admiring my size in the mirror I must have been about 20(1/2a lifetime ago ; ) and I was about 155lbs. I don't think I want to get quite that weight but at least 175 or so.
I see you've hit a plateau.... how much more are you trying to lose? Are you working out..... How much working out did you have to do to get as far as you have?

Hi. Well I am 29, 28 when I had surgery. I am 5'4 and was 250 lbs. At first it seems slow but really your losing weight fast. Then you hit plateau after plateau. These plateaus prove to be losing inches but not lbs. Then you can eat more and you can begin to tolerate those foods you loved pre-op like salt and vinegar chips or ice cream cake. You will eat these things because your human but the problem is, were addicts and without the right motivation these things will set you behind. That's where I am at now. The best of luck to you and it's always going to be a struggle. This surgery just gives you a second chance!
