I survived my first day at work. I have to wear fire retardant uniforms and they were way too big... Im gonna have to make due till my new ones get here... Everyone comented on how much weight i had lost. My enerygy level is no where near what i had before. Ive given up coffee for now and i think that is part of it. I have to drink protein drinks instead of food b/c its so hot i cant go an hour with out fluids. It was 98 today and very humid... Tough first day back in a glass plant but im glad to be back!

So you were out 2 1/2 weeks? I know for my job to be on disability I need to be out at least 3. I think I'm asking for 4 weeks though. I'm scared to death of knowing how to eat at work.

I wanted to go back after 14 days but i hurt my back that week. I ended up taking 16 days off.

I took 6 weeks and I was glad for the time to get used to my new way of living. I had little to no energy until around week 5, so for me I needed the time. Plus I travel a lot with my job.

I go back to work today. My uniforms are too big also, but will make do until I absolutely have to order more (monogramming cost too much). Changed to day shift so I can continue on my journey to fitness.

I had the time and took 5 weeks off and glad I did. Yes I had to go out and get a new set of cloths also as I had dropped 2 sizes in pants and my old ones where just falling off. But it sounds like your doing wonderful, so keep it going and it does get better with every day.

Oh, and the coffee --- my Nut tells us we can have Decaf a couple of times a day (16oz) after 2 weeks and that is ok by her. After 4 weeks she lets us have 1 16oz of normal coffee. I was never a coffee drinker before surgery, but seeing that I can no longer have my diet coke (which I dearly love), I had to turn to something other then the 64oz of crytal lite everyday.
