    I couldn't agree more!
Still, it's clear that being physically fit is much more attractive than being obese (to most onlookers). This is true for me and I think it's true for everyone. And of course, the physical part of a relationship is no exception.

I have to agree with hermoojesty, beyond men/dating - the whole world tends to treat you differently if you are heavier.

I have not figured out how much of that is the way we act versus how much is how we look. I suspect it is some of both.

I am STILL obese, but the whole world just seems more... outgoing and friendly to me. Complete strangers talk to me. People open doors for me (well, some do). It is like I am just perceived differently. I am now fitting into a regular size 18, whereas before I was a 24-26W. big difference i guess

I am a pretty outgoing person and all that so don't let weight stop me from social situations, but even I notice that difference.

    GWEN, you wrote.....

"I asked what he had in mind. He said he wanted to 'hook up and see what happens'. ...um... I texted back and said that I'm not looking to 'hook up', but that I'm looking for a long term relationship. He said okay. Two minutes later he texted again and said, "I'm just really horny.""

Girl, don't act so surprised! The guy is pure dog, of course. Men don't have ears when they are horny, they might bob their heads up and down but they certainly don't pay attention to anything you say. They think with their penis, and that is the only thing they want to "invest" in you, too. Not time, not friendship, just THAT. He watched your lips move when you said you wanted a long term relationship, but what he is hearing is....."Ohh ohh baby". It sucks that we have to separate the wheat from the chaff of the male species, but this experience totally makes the point. So many are doggies, and the better you look, the more doggies you attract. Right?
