Hi All
I'm from the UK
Hi, I'm from the uk but living in Ireland. I am 2.5 weeks post op. I had a gastric band for 13years which was removed last otober. Now, newly sleeved I'm having to learn all over again so any advice would be hugely appreciated.
Good luck to all the Brits!
Hello all. I am being sleeved on my 52nd birthday, 1st June! I'm seeing at a birthday present to myself, and I'm looking forward to a long, healthy, and happy retirement when it comes! Currently on pre op diet, and it's going OK ;o)
Hi Juney, wishing you all the best for 1st June. I'm 5weeks post op and its coming off slowly. It owners look like their dogs then its true for me as I have a very fat chinese shar pei!!

Hi Clarence
Slowly but surely is the way to win the race! I don't tell my whippets that though!
Are you on real food yet, or still on mush?
What was your op like, did you recover well? For some reason I don't expect to be in any pain lol, but sure there will be some. I've heard varying reports as to how quickly you get over it. I'm having my op on the Wednesday, and hope to go to the London Palladium to see the Wizard of Oz on my return back to the UK on the Saturday. Not sure if I am expecting too much of myself to be up to it. I normally recover well from anaesthesia, so hopefully I will be OK.
Good luck to you for further steady weighloss
Hi Juney,
I'm just on real food now, can only eat very little (like 3-4 small bites) which is great. I recovered quickly enough, doing most things within a couple of days. You may just feel tired more than usual which I suppose is to be expected.
I had my surgery in Belgium, where are you having yours?

That sounds fab, and exactly how I was hoping to be. I am going to Czech Republic with Cosmetic Bliss. They have been wonderful so far, and everyone raves about them, so I am feeling completely relaxed about it. Just need to get through this very low fat diet - which is going better than I expected.
Do you feel hungry between meals, or has removing the ghrelin worked for you?
June x
Thats a good question, I do feel hungry at times and think I could eat a 3 course meal but one bite of a banana and i'm full again. I used to have a very sweet tooth and could easily put away a packet of flake cakes! Now I think of sweet things much less. The good thing is, if I fancy a bit of chocolate, I have it , I don't have to beat myself up over a small amount of anything.

Hi there, I had no problems at all with travelling, I had someone with me which helped. I'm sure you'll be fine. Lots of luck. x
Welcome!!!
