My "awakening" moment!

I had an amazing thing happen yesterday. I was in a store and there was a full length mirror on a wall some distance away. I caught myself in the mirrror and couldn't believe how "skinny" I looked! I thought there was something wrong with the mirrror-that it was distorted somehow. I walked closer to it and realized it was fine. I don't have a full length mirror in my house and have not had a real good look at myself! I was amazed at my reflection. No wonder people are saying how great I look and how I am melting away. I still have some pounds to go but it made me feel great and just re-inforced to myself that this was the best decision!

That is awesome. I can't wait to get to that point. I've lost 25lbs from the pre-op diet and initial 8 days after surgery but my husband says he can't tell a difference yet. You must feel so good.

Way to go!! Can't wait to get my moment!!! I put on some jeans yesterday that I used to have to "tuck" myself into to wear and they are baggy. I think I'm just going to wear some baggy jeans for a while just bc they ARE BAGGY NOW!! lol. I am just so excited to be dropping from 260... 250... 240... And now 230.2!!! Dang that 2 oz lol but that's ok it will come off quickly as the rest has. Thanks for sharing your moment!!!

That is wonderful!! People keep telling me how incredible I look. I feel smaller and clothes certainly hang on me. When I moved down the size and WOW people raved!! I just have not gotten there yet mentally. I do feel different but not hat different. I do make different choices. Better much better choices in what I eat.

dont mean to be a debbie downer ( i havent had the surgery yet) i went in my big bin of summerish clothes ( i have a wedding to go to this sat and its going to be warm) and couldnt fit it to anything which means im bigger than last summer its great for all of you guys though im happy i will have that one day too!

It is so amazing how different we are. At 319 in November I was in size 30 pants. Now at 259 in March I am still in 28's. Only one size down? Maybe that explains why 12-14 was always the perfect size for me. I can't imagine an 8.

Oh well, it's not the numbers, it's how you feel; and I am just beginning to feel socially acceptable and that was one of my goals.

25 lbs, that is awesome. I don't know how your husband can't tell yet! I've lost ten and my daughter told me that she could tell last night!
