Surgery in KC area

I am from the KC area and had a consult with Dr. Fearing at Malley surgical, has anyone used her before. I really like her, but a little concerned as she has only been doing the sleeve for one year. What were the biggest adjustments post surgery that you faced?

I used Dr Malley for my lapband fills and liked them all.....but i had a revision 4 weeks ago in Mexico so i wont b using them, i live at lake of ozarks! Ive been very pleased since my surgery and havelost 28 lbs n 3 weeks! Good luck and keep n touch we need Missouri buddies

I'm from KC too. My surgeon is Dr. Hoehn at KC Bariatric, so I don't know about Fearing, sorry! But welcome to the board!

Dr Hoehn has been doing the sleeves for awhile. I went to Dr. Fearing seminar and I liked her too, however when I went to the office I felt like they were herding cattle. After the seminar they set you up with an "appointment" where you and about 15 ofther people all come in at the same time and listen to another breif overview of the sergeries, then one by one (based on who came in first) you go into a room with the doctor all the while knowing 13 other people are waiting for that same doctor. That is just my experience. I have known man people who love their lapband from them. I believe they have been doing those longer.

Call Hoehn's office for the sleeve. I could not have been happier with the surgery and the staff! I think they are also best in price for cash pay.

I agree I would check with KC Bariatric Center, those doctors have been doing the sleeve for years.

Dr Hoehn did my surgery 4/12 @ Prairie Starr. Im home n feeling GREAT!

Thanks everyone. I am going to a seminar by Dr. Hoen tonight and will setup a consult... It sounds like he may be the way to go... Has anyone had complications with the surgery performed by Dr. Hoen??

I went to Dr. Hoen's office and found that I was more comfortable with Dr. Fearing. She really seems to care for her patients and is very detailed and sweet. She also has a great surgical record and low rate of complications... I think that the end result is the same that we all just want to get rid of this weight and be healthier and happier I can't wait for my date of June 12th...

Congrats on your decision for a healthier you. You will love your new sleeve! There will be a few bumps in the road along the way but it is the best decision I ever made for myself!
