Back in the Saddle Again...

Well, after a long break, I started back with my personal trainer. I wanted to start back in February, but ended up with influenza B, so that kind of blew that out of the water. I got back from Las Vegas last night, so I figured my first day back would be a great day to start on a high protein, low carb diet again, and head back to the gym.

Now? I'm dead...just....jello muscles. It felt good, but it feels better to be home! I'm on spring break this week, and only picked up 2 shifts at the hospital, so I plan on getting out and enjoying my time off work. I need to teach my new puppy how to walk on the lease, too!

And to top off the weekend - I'm running/walking a 5K on Saturday! It's good to be back in the saddle.

But the VERY BEST PART!? I actually LOST WEIGHT when I was on vacation! This morning, I was 0.4 lbs down, but am still pretty puffy from the flight and the alcohol/salt I ate in Vegas. Hopefully, once I flush all that water weight out, I'll be down about 3 lbs. That would be wonderful - I mean, who loses weight on vacation? SLEEVERS!

Well, workout number 2 was tonight! I'm EXHAUSTED! I really need to up my water intake, so that's my plan for tomorrow. My trainer wants me drinking 96 oz. per day! Very difficult, considering I work and can't be running to the bathroom all day long. Tomorrow I'm really REALLY going to try to get it all in though.

Since 3/7, I've lost 4.6 lbs. Not the fastest, but considering I went on vacation in that time, I'm happy! My goal is 210 by my birthday, so I'm going to have to really step it up. I have to lose 32 lbs in 2.5 months - doable, especially with my sleeve. Just have to make sure I get in that water and lots of protein. Well...off to bed!
