So true, Dr. Kelly, on both counts--you revised my lap band to a sleeve, which was more complicated than just a straight sleeve, and I don't have a very high pain threshold, that's just how I'm "wired". However today, as you know, I feel much better. One thing that's different about revisional surgery is the additional step of having a drainage tube, with a collection bulb for blood, and icky fluids from inside the body. I had one on each side a couple of years ago after my mastectomies, so I'd expereinced this before. This tube only adds to the discomfort, and getting it pulled out is no walk in the park either! But it was quick, and once it was out, and I'd had a few minutes to let the pain subside, I felt so much better. Thanks for all of your great care!
Ouch! You poor kid I feel for you. Rest up and take it easy, you will feel better and better everyday.
