Hello Everyone!
My name is Nicole and I am 28 years old. I am a mom of three little girls and I am also married. I am 5 days post op from getting the gastric sleeve. WHat a journey so far. My journey actually started in 2008 when I decided to get the Lap Band. Unfortunately, I had no success with the band and it eventually slipped and required surgery. Instead of getting my band fixed I opted to have it removed and get the gastric sleeve. After my first weight loss surgery failed I am really hoping that the sleeve will be successful. I cant deal with another failure! I am hoping that I can get some support from this group!

you need to be true to yourself, you have to make up your mind that this is what you want. and only you can do it for yourself. keep your head up... you a have a good start, " eat right"

Thanks for the support guys! I went in today for my 1 week pre op appointment. I went a day early because I was sent home with my drain still in and it has stopped working. I am pretty happy so far about my surgery. I have minimal pain. The only real pain that I am feeling is burning around my incision. I am told that this is because I am probably stretching the muscles around it. Maybe doing a little too much. I am a little bummed that I am craving food. I read so many peoples posts about how they cant even imagine eating and that they can barely get water down. I am having no problem getting liquids in. I will admitt I am not getting protien in but that is because I can find anything that tastes decent. They all make me want to puke. I think once I can add skim milk in I will be better because I can make my protien mix with that. I get on the scale daily. How awful is that! I know I shouldnt do it but I am obsessed. I cant wait to get healed so I can use that gym membership I got before surgery! I have already gone back to work, lord help me, and I ahve 3 kids under the age of 6 i am taking care of. They do the best they can to help mommy but their help can be ovewhelming lol!
