I was just wondering if anyone has gotten a tattoo that signifies their journey? I am wanting to get a one after I have my sleeve and then one maybe when I get to goal!! Lots of choices!! If you have please share!!
Not for this, just for my kids and a bad past relationship (never ever again will I do a tat for a partner)...
I might consider a tiny butterfly on my shoulder....
My treat for myself when I am done this journey will be to pay the $1500 or more it will cost to get a 3x3 mistake lasered off my thigh so I don't have to wear shorts when I swim....
Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.
yes, I had a tattoo so signify my 100 lbs weight loss mark. It is a large Lotus flower on my lower left leg. The Lotus represent a rebirth and the ability to overcome obstacles. I felt as though the WLS was a way of being reborn and it certainly takes a lot of strength to overcome a life long weight problem.
yes Pre-surgery I got faith on one wrist and strength on the other. Then when I reach my goal I intend to get a whole back piece. Which is a really good looking pheonix and dragon. The pheonix representing rebirth and the dragon representing the strength it took me to get to the rebirth.

Not a tattoo kind of a girl, myself. Each to his/her own. Id rather take that $$$ and put it towards a tummy tuck, arm lift, or face lift.
Sara - the big difference this time is that you are eating real food now, so it's not like before when you were doing liquids (been there, done that) and you start eating real food and your brain triggers, hey, real food, let's get that weight back on!... with grehlin gone that trigger is muted and we all have a fighting chance!

I just found a web site that I googled "weight loss symbols". I want to get a tatt representing my weight loss. I want it to be visual to me so it'll remind me not to eat junk food BUT the rest of my tatt's (8) I can cover if I want / need to. I'm thinking of the one that has 5 ladies in a row, the one on the left is larger and then they go down in size OR the tatt that has a weighted scale with the heavier person pulling the scale down and the skinnier person up (sort of like a tetter totter (sp?). I'm thinking of the inside of my wrist but won't be able to cover that in the summer.
Any thoughts............................ I'm not really psyched about either one.
Wow! I just found the one that "spoke" to me. It flashed on the screen for an advertisment for endobariatric surgery. It's the blue flower. Yeah, that's the one I'm getting!!!!
Ill treat myself to more ink after a significant weight loss. My fathers last name down one ribcage, and my husbands last name down the other side of the rib cage. Thinking 3 or 4 inch letters, in bold script, or the script type that matches the Psalm on my back...dunno yet.
