I have like 200 Pounds to lose any 100 plus losers out there. It's good to see it can be done.
When I started I had 200 lbs to lose (according to the docs, anyway) as I started at 335.
I've dropped 99.2 lbs since last June 1st. I dropped 35 lbs in 12 wks prior to surgery going to Weight Watchers and eating 2/3 points. (and starving!)
And I've dropped 64 lbs since surgery on Aug 22. I appear to be dropping lbs at an average rate, about 2.25 lbs a week averaged out. I am in my 50s, female, have several health issues that make this harder and it's still happening...
I have 4 days to hit that magic 100 lbs off by my 6 month goal date... c'mon stall, go away!
I can tell you this - if you are larger when you start, it's pretty much a standard that you drop lbs much faster than those with less to drop.
It can be done.
Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.
I was sleeved October of 2010, and had lost 150 lbs. by my year anniversary. I've maintained that weight-loss since then, staying within a 3-4 pound range.
I also had a goal of losing 150 lbs, and hit the magic 1/2 way mark this week - 4 months 1 week post-op. Not only can you do this, but your sleeve won't fail you as long as you follow all of the recommendations from your docs.
Start - 295 lbs, now 219 (76 lost), goal 145 = it's doable.
