...my 4 m/o granddaughter, Lucille Rose Hirsch, is in the hospital with Kawasaki Syndrome. It is a rare and serious condition which could leave permanant heart damage and while there is a treatment, it has definite risks as well. And throw one in for her mom, MY baby girl, Genevieve...she's barely holding it together.
We need a miracle.

I understand what you are going through. My oldest son developed Kawasaki while we were stationed in Germany. After 3 weeks of staying in the hospital and 1 year of an aspirin regimen I am happy to say that he is doing good. The only thing that we have to worry about now is when he gets into sports. Then we will have to have a special physical for him. I will pray for your granddaughter that she has the same results that we have had. Good luck!

A friends little boy has had the same and he is fine as I am sure your grandie will be as well. In fact it wasn't until he ws sick that a lot of others piped up saying that they son/daughter/friend/cousin had had the same.

Lucy is continuing to improve. She had the first of many appts. with her cardiologist this past week. He is keeping her on the high doses of aspirin (2 baby aspirin 4Xday) for another month. It seems to be doing its job and the echocardiogram showed that the coronary arteries are about half the size they were when she left the hospital. Another month of aspirin and we'll see where we're at.

But she's happy and giggly and a joy to be around...well, 'cept when her Mommy's administering the meds!! Then we get a lot of "bitter beer face". ;-)
