I'm extremely disappointed, I had to postpone my surgery. I guess it just wasn't my time.

Earlier today I was questioning wether or not to postpone my surgery that was scheduled for tomorrow because I have a cold but then decided to go ahead with it knowing my recovery would be a little tougher but was going to tough it out.

Later in the day I got a call from my Dr's office they didn't have all the clearances from tests I had done yet so I had to put off my surgery.

I am extremely disappointed and was even down right mad after fasting on a liquid diet and preparing for every detail to have it all dashed in one phone call. So I did something stupid and went straight out for Chinese food, I got a couple of my favorites. I eat about 1/4 of what I would normally eat, I just got too full.

I think I got it out of my system and I'm ready to get back on track. I'll go back to 2 protein drinks and one lean and green meal per day for the next week then do the 2 week liquid fast again.

One thing I think is pretty cool is my surgery date is Feb 29th. that only comes around every 4 years.

I believe things happen for a reason, you just weren't meant to have it yet. Maybe a crisis was averted with your cold. Don't sweat the food, it happened move forward. That is one pretty cool surgery date!!

Just a delay, and yes, a cool surgiversary! Lots of Vit C and rest up. And heck, I'd have gone out for Chinese, too

Well I know that had to be disappointing but at least it is just a postponement and not worst. You will be fine and these next couple of weeks will be over before you know it.

wow, did not realize it was leap year a little more time to lose some weight pre op...that is how I am looking at my time till surgery(late march)...time flies...it will be here quickly and your cold will be long gone good luck!!!!!!!!!!

It's okay! It will be here before you know it! Take lots of vitamin C. I did that for several weeks before my surgery and everyone around me was sick but I never even got one sniffle!
