    Unhappy I'm still not sure

I'm considering gastric sleeve, but not sure yet, is a major surgery and I'm really scared: complications, anestesia, leeks, etc.

You are so right. It is a major surgery but i can tell you from my experience the sleeve surgery was easier for me than having my wisdom teeth removed. My pain level on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the least amount of pain would be 1. I didn't have a drainage tubes or staples and my recovery was very easy. Had surgery on Monday, flew home on Thursday and was back to work on Monday. It is the best decision I could have ever made for myself. That being said I did a lot of research prior to my surgery in order to determine this was the best decision for me......so my word of advice is do your research. Good Luck with your decision Tam

Check to see if any doctors in your area give free informational seminars. The one I went to was soooooooo informative and discussed three different forms of surgery, their pros and cons, and what makes a good candidate for each. The hospital even has a pre-surgery and post-op support group network.

Most of all, educate yourself! The more you know, the less there is to fear.

...and the posts here are really great. I'm new here and I mostly lurk on the forums, but have gotten some great input and support from the members here! They're all so sweet and helpful

I am one week post op from my sleeve. No regrets! I did lots and lots of research and went into my operation very confident and post operation I am feeling really good and soooo happy I went ahead with it. It is a major decision but a decision that ultimately saves and gives you your life back...amazing.
I say that like I know - guess i do a little as I have had Lapband before this and lost all my weight but after 5 years it eroded into my stomach so had to be removed....it was a massive decision to go back again to have another weight loss surgery and I believe I have made the right decision and know that the sleeve will continue my weight loss journey and assist me with the struggle for the rest of my life....that makes me happy!!!
Good luck deciding....chatting on forum and reading other peoples expriences is very helpful I am very new on this forum SandyfromOz (moderator) and I shared a room in hospital and she told me about this forum so I have joined in to....
    You wont regret it!
