What are your favorite protein drinks?

I found out that I will need to be on a 10 day liquid protein diet pre-op and 2 weeks post-op.
I get tired of all those sweet shakes. Anyone have any suggestions for good protein that might not be so sweet or can be mixed into more savory liquids?
Anyone tried the clear protein drinks? Do they taste like flavored waters?

Drinks, I use proasis, I mix a tube with a bottle of water and get my protein as I sip. I've begged them to make an unflavored one....and they say they passed it along.

I love Unjury chicken flavor protein mix. I mix one scoop (21g protein/90 calories) in two cups Maneschevitz vegetable broth (sp?) or College Inn vegetable broth. I like things spicy and add assorted blended chili pepper but the soup is DELICIOUS on its own. So easy to get down and tastes like a rich broth.

I love Unjury chocolate splendor with skim milk, it tastes like chocolate milk. I drink it from a blender bottle for two reasons, I give it a little shake before each sip also I HATE the smell of protein drinks, I'm just glad they don't taste like they smell.

I also love Nectar Roadside Lemonade mixed with crystal light lemonade, it just harder to mix, a blender helps or a blender bottle.

If you don't have a blender bottle get one, you'll love it. blenderbottle.com There are others around the are about the same thing but not sure where to get them but would think a vitamin store would have them.

i used procel in soups and broths. and i prefer the designer whey protein drinks, they're sweetened, but not nearly as sweet as all of the others. they're more palatable for me. i was still totally sick of protein drinks after all was said and done tho...i think there's no way not to be if you like any kind of variety at all

this may be a dumb question but are the protein drinks covered by food stamps .im on medicaid and food stamps for now and this would save me so much.

I drink Unjury unflavoured and Strawberry Sorbet. I mix the unflavoured with all sorts of Crystal Light and Nestea SF Singles - they're only as sweet as how much of the juice you put them with. They're incredible. The Strawberry Sorbet is mixed with water and tastes like strawberry Kool-aid or Tang - it is not too sweet. It's amazing. I tried a bunch of different proteins before this, but ended up not liking them. I would suggest getting a sample of each of Unjury's drinks, cheese and chicken broth. Then you're not out a bunch of money and you'll be able to find out what you like. See you on the flip side!!

I had gotten some Health Wise protein soups that were pretty good - one was cream of mushroom and one was tomato. They were powdered, in packets. I've heard a lot of people swear by the Unjury Unflavored but I couldn't get over the fishy flavor of it. I've also heard good things about Isopure.

I ordered some Unjury Chicken Broth...hoping for the best! Then I got some Isopure...wish I would have read your comment mcander... I got the orange one. I got a "bullet", too. Just figured I'd try a few out. And I got 2 blender bottles... getting ready for next month...

I use Crystal light raspberry tea & whey strawberry protein...I mix it in a bowl with tap water so I don't taste the powder.

On the foodstamp question. If you buy from walmart I think the ready made ones are. Also like the shooters but don't know about the dry powder ones. I think any store that accepts foodstamps actually. I know like myoplex esa drinks are covered. Just call and ask. Save you time. Nothing to be ashamed of this day in time with the economy.

My favorite shakes are the Atkins Advantage protein shakes. They are premixed and ready to go in single-serving sizes. I take one in my lunch bag to work every day and actually drink it around 5:00pm on my ride home from the office. It tides me over until dinnertime, which is usually 7-7:30pm each day.
