Could there be any correlation? I seem to be able to eat larger amounts the later in the day it gets... this could become dangerous given my past late-night munchies.
i noticed kinda the same thing with me also... i can eat much more at night than during the day but i don't know if that's bc i have more time to eat during the night vs the daytime.. but in relation to eating late- i realized that if i eat too much or too close to my bedtime- in the morning i wake up with a 'dry empty feeling' in my stomach... am i alone?
Oh hell yes! At first I thought I was losing my mind, but after 7 months out from surgery; the answer is yes, at certain times of the day, my stomach can take in more food. Also factor in that during my "cycle" my stomach shuts down complete. Very little can go in. So, for me the 1st thing in the morning, I can not for the life of me consume any dense protein and have to ease into my morning protein shake. Once I get past that. I am golden for the rest of the day. As my hormones kick in, I have found that I can't eat as much. Actually, I am totally indifferent to food. But the lead up to the big "P" day are just as crazy as befor the surgery. I still suffer from the mania of trying to find that "elusive" food that will hit the sweet spot. Some months it's a pickle. Other months it's nachos.
THE BLESSSING OF THE SLEEVE IS THAT WHEN THE MANIA KICKS IN - I CAN'T EAT A LOT! So, although I am technically off the rails, I am held in check, because my sleeve kicks in! DID I MENTION THAT I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!
talking about cycles... i used to get the crazy 'eat everything' feeling few days before mine kicked in... and post-op.. it's still the same. granted- i'm not able to eat as much.. but the head game is there. my urges are still the same pre or post op.. but with the sleeve.. i win the battle.. more than half the time.. i'm plenty grateful..
