I was making dinner for my family and for a moment completely forgot about my new tummy. I ate a small piece of ham steak and swallowed. Then I was like omg what did you do. I'm 27 days out, is this dangerous?
No I don't mind at all. I as sleeved on the 21st and have lost 28 lbs so far. That was all after surgery because my before stomach refused just liquids lol. At first I had rough time and was back in the hospital for dehydration and I vomiting a little blood. All has been good since then. I had to redo puree and I can eat one whole mushed egg w mustard and low fat mayo.
Ham Steak isn't exactly soft.... I'm assuming that hurt a little bit? I think that if you feel ok, you probably are. But you don't want anything to get lodged in there, you're probaly still a little swollen.
Congrats on your weight loss, keep up the good work!
Wow...thats great I have only lost about 19 and I feel somehow im not doing somthing right. I see everyones progress and mine just seems to be going some much more slow. Im also on pureed and I eat cheese, a few sponns of mashed potato and also can eat a hard boiled egg just not the whole thing at once or I feel super stuffed!
I did that when I was working on emails the other day. I was typing and concentrating and I grabbed my water and took a HUGE gulp. Before my throat swallowed, I remembered and spewed it all over the blanket next to me. The dog looked at me funny but I figured better wash a blanket than hurt my stomach somehow with a big gush of water.
at 27 days out of my post op i was eating all foods no liquids or pureed foods i had ham or what ever..but i did keep a wtch on carbs and calories

~ doesn't think she'll ever reach her original weight, no matter HOW hard she tries. Hell, let's face it, 8lb 10oz is not very realistic is it?
Thanks, I guess your right...I have a half of a hard boiled egg in the morning, a small piece of cheese for snack then usually a few spoons of mash potato for lunch then probably another piece of cheese before dinner time which is probably a little bit of soup or more mash.
