I need medicine

I have a hard time getting a large vitamin pill down. Anyone have a suggestion on what to take for sinus congestion. Between my sinuses, losing my kitty yesterday from old age, turning in my favorite dog to animal control today due to killing the neighbors sheep and chickens, I just want to crawl back to bed. And I can't do that cause I have company for the weekend.

I can't even get my protein shake to go down today.

So sorry Di. It is very hard to lose a pet, and you have had a very bad week with losing two. You deserve to crawl back into bed, but maybe your company can cheer you up some. As far as vitamins, I recommend the chewable kind. You can find them in any drug store. CVS makes a generic version which I use. For sinus congestion, you can take Claritin and/or Sudafed, or just try Dayquil or Nyquil at night....especially since those are liquid. I hope you feel better soon.

Hey Di, first things first {{{{hug}}} I am so sorry.
I agree that chewable vitamins are the way to go. But my doctor suggested that is you are taking children's vitamins that you should take 2.
Sinuses suck. But recently discovered the Neti Pot. I know, the concept is gross, but man has it helped me.
Last thing, when things suck...it's ok to take a day off and crawl back into bed. As long as it's just one day and not often...I think it can really do a lot for mental health.

I know exactly what you are feeling right now, as yesterday I had to have my beautiful "Billy Bunny" put to sleep.He was only two come Easter and my daughter had him since about 3-4 weeks old. He had a broken back and my Vet said it would do no good to operate as he would most likely end up paralysed anyway.It didn't help that my Vet is also one of my Vet nursing teachers. He was very sad with us.
"Billy" got a "wife" for Christmas and was going to have some babies come cooler weather.I kick myself for holding off now as I could have had at least one of his babies.
Billy was the best bunny in the whole world, he wasn't just a rabbit, he would hop into my lap for cuddles and I used to sit outside with him brushing his gorgeous 2 inch long fur.He thought he was a cat and His best friend was would you believe "Tigger Tiger" pussycat. They used to play, then have a rest together, side by side.
It is always so very hurtful and heart breaking to lose one of your Furkids, but we have been blessed for the time we had them even when it's never long enough.

Aw Sandy, I am sorry for you too. Billy was a beautiful bunny, and I bet Tigger is missing him too. {{{HUGS}}} to you and your daughter and to Tigger and to Di. I look at my beautiful Bear-dog every day and wonder how much longer I'll be blessed to have him...he is 14 years old now, definitely a senior citizen. He's right here by my feet now, and whenever I'm sitting at the laptop typing on this forum. Every day with our furry family members is a blessing...they add so much to our lives.

I am sorry for your loss It is so very hard to loose a friend even if they are pets! I love my pets more than some of my human friends They are always there and never judge you and Always forgive you! I hope you feel better soon, the sun will come back out

Di, I am sorry about your loss it is never easy no matter how old they are it just isn't enough. I am just getting over a nasty bug after 3 weeks of it. Musinex (sp) DM 12 hour worked great for it along with a sudafed.

Sheryl, that's nothing unusual in our family, we have a ferret who thinks she is a dog, and plays with our German SHepherd, a Rotti cross bionic wombat who kisses HOney the rabbit, and a cat who sits on the cockatiels cage. Lots of funny things go on here.xoxox
