Things I can't wait to do

Just small things but I can't wait to lose enough to do these things other ppl take for granted.

1. Go to the store and buy a pair of sandles because they are cute and not because it is the only pair in the store that fits me.

2. Walk the mall without feeling like my lungs are on fire.

3. I want to go into a store and buy a pair of capris off the shelf ..... Not have to order from avenue roamans womanwithing etc.

4. Just feel sexy or my husband.

This is the start of this list. I will keep posting to this list when I think of things. And when I meet these goals.

PLEASE post your own to this post. I am so intrested in what everyone thinks.

Amanda - I think its great that you have these goals and are strong enough to put them in writing. Thats a wonderful step. Here is my list of things I cant wait to do

-not have to ask for a seatbelt extender on an airplane
-buy a regular ladies shirt...not Maternity (because my waist is MUCH smaller than my hip,stomach, butt area)
-get on a fishing boat......i've been too scared that it will tip
-ride an amusement park ride with my son.......i'm too big for the bar to come down
-go down a slide at the waterpark
-jump in the pool without fear of the kids friends laughing because of the large splash
-sit in a wooden chair that has sides without all my fat coming out the sides
-go to a family gathering and not have family make comments to me about how much prettier i would be if i lost weight

These may seem dumb to some but they are important to me!

This is a great posting i'd like to share some of mine.

1. Get on an airplane without having to ask for an extender (great one)
2. Go to a resturant and actually fit in the booth wthout having to move because I can't fit in there
3. Shop in the regular sizes
4. Walk up a flight of stairs without stopping
5. Go to the gym longer than 30 mins
6. Another great one from my fellower sleever go to a family function without people telling me you have a beautiful face why don't you lose 50lbs
7. Actually sit in a seat without breaking it.
8. Drive my care without moving my seat all the way back so my tummy doesn't hit the steering wheel
9. Run a mile without stopping and under 15 mins
10. Top ten thing would have to be to show my daughter how to properly eat and be healthy so she doesn't grow up with a weight problem

Sorry I know its a lot and I could go on and on but I think i'd bore y'all lol would love to hear more

I can totally relate to the booth thing. When me and my boyfriend go out to eat.. i am always looking at the booth to decide which side i should TRY to slide into.

I LOVE the idea of writing out goals like this. It helps to look back a them when it gets tough.

Mine are...

1. Walk up a flight of stairs without stopping
2. Shop at White House Black Market
3. Have a photography/boudoir session done for my husband
4. Never have someone tell me again what a "pretty face" I have
5. Wear sleeveless shirts and wave without the chicken wing arms flapping!!!

Hi Everyone,

Thought this was a great idea! Here's my list...

1. Be able to run around and play with my 12 year old for more than 3 minutes...
2. Be able to tie my shoes without gasping for air and have the knot end up in the middle instead of on the side of the shoe...
3. Easily wipe my bum (don't laugh - it's true)
4. Go to a family function and not have my favorite (overweight) aunt try to shove food down my throat (just try it, you'll love it).
5. Get out and live!!!!!

Things I can't wait to be able to do:
1. Walk in sand with my grandson---I tried it on our vacation last summer and I thought I wouldn't get back to the house.
2. Be able to get down on the floor to play with the grandkids and then to GET BACK UP all by myself!
3. Have a little slack in the seatbelt in the car, so it doesn't choke me!
4. Walk into the place I used to work and the skinny b______s not know me!

Everyone stole the best ones! I was going to say bend over & tie my shoes w/o feeling I am being strangled. Sit down w/o the hammer from my side arm not digging into my "love handles" (which by the way, why are they called love handles when women DON'T love them???). Wearing a t-shirt that doesn't look like it should be a car cover. Buying nice clothes & not growing out of them in 3 months. Being able to find something on the "sale rack" & not have to shop at the Cheap, Big & Not Lovely store. I want to go snow skiing & be able to keep up with my son-n-law. Be able to exercise w/o having to figure out which one is going to make my knees ache the least for the next week. (I feel like I am reading David Letterman's top 10 list) And the number one reason, FINALLY GO OUT ON A DATE! Hi Ohhhhhhhh!

Great Thread! I need to keep this list for myself to keep focused
1. To stand up from sitting or sleeping and not hear my knees crack or feel like I have to stretch every which way before I take a step
2. Buy clothing without thinking of all the things I need to cover in order to feel somewhat presentable (arms, butt, well let's just say my ankles and neck/head are all I like to expose at this point!)
3. SAVE MONEY from only being able to buy work clothing from expensive places
4. Not feel so lethargic and blah
5. Feel light in my step
6. Fit in chairs without feeling like I'm spilling over the sides!
7. STOP profuse sweating the minute the temp is over 70 or the humidity is up
8. STOP avoiding situations/activities that used to be so much fun for me and my family

This thread was perfect morning inspiration for me. I'm a little emotional for some reason today (maybe pms) but I'm so touched by the honesty and humor in this thread. I can not relate to all on the lists, but I can relate to some. The number one goal for me is to be an example of healthy living for my children, and to live a longer, fuller life~free of diabetes, high blood pressure, edema, and low self esteem. Good luck to those who haven't been sleeved yet. It was the best decision I could have ever made.
