Best decision of your life! Don’t listen to all the horror stories, everyone is different. I had my sleeve six years ago, NO complications and am a size 4. Lost 120 lbs. I now have a very active...
I’m an avid runner, 7+ miles, 4 x a week. That being said, we need to do weight training as well. I do an at home kettle bell work out and love it! Very simple. I use 12, 15, 20 and 30 pound...
Drink more water! Use flavoring if needed. Hot tea is also good to curb the appetite.
Great post! Agree 100% with all you stated and follow all myself. Basically common sense put into action. Great job!
Oh my! Never had much hair loss, could not notice one bit....guess I was lucky! Everyone is different, as they say
Runner here as well. No problem with running post op. Basically waited 3-4 months after surgery to start it up again, my choice. Now run five days a week, six plus miles. Not a tremendous amount...
Good one!
Ann has said it all! Amen sister!
I needed no help whatsoever after surgery. I came home and the next morning my husband was off on a three day business trip, at my insistence. I did laundry and all other household activities. ...
At your stage, dips and CRACKERS are definitely off limits!! Watch your diet carefully, you are healing. Your body need recovery time.
Same here! I absolutely crave healthier food post op, protein and salads. Rarely, if ever, crave sweet treats. Salty, yes, but air popped popcorn seems to satisfy!
Well said!!
I went to Italy for three weeks at eight weeks post op, and YES, I had wine at that time. One glass, with every dinner, never had a problem. Sip slowly and enjoy!
I never stopped drinking either. Have had no problem whatsoever. (I have three cups of coffee every morning and tea whenever the urge strikes.)
I NEVER ate mashed potatoes. Why begin your new life with all the old food?? There are better options for you no and fast food, gravey or otherwise. You can do this!
Best and easiest decision I ever made regarding my health AND everyday life! It's called FREEDOM!! Good luck to you. Simply follow the rules, eat your protein and drink your water!!
Cottage cheese and the flavored tuna packets. Both are my "go to", still, almost daily.
It's possible, and yes, you probably are retaining fluids. All good though, you are having the food funerals so many have prior to surgery. Good luck to you, healthy new life awaits you!
Wowsa!!! You are doing fantastic!!
Good luck to you!! Enjoy your new healthy life!
Woo-Woo! Great news! Happy recovery!
Popsicles, great idea for snacking! Believe it or not, I haven't had one since surgery, just slipped under a the radar I guess! Will definitely get some for summertime snack attacks!
Tinman said it all! I still have 1-3 glasses of wine, several times a week. (Business dinners with the hubs.) You will learn very quickly what works for you and your sleeve.
I love coconut oil, but, I only use it for skin care. I make a sugar scrub with coconut oil, sugar and essential oils. I love it, my friends love it and it's cheap. Eating the stuff, just can't...
Great hair!!
