Good luck with you upcoming day!
Welcome to the club!!
2 great perspectives there. My experience so far has been on the easier side, I too was very fortunate not to have any complications and took to this TOOL like a fish to water. However, I agree...
Outstanding! You are killing it. Did you have any stalls and if so, what did you do to break them?
With such a small stomach after surgery caffeine could irritate and from my understanding possibly cause issues. I drink organic caffeine free teas now and enjoy them and keep B12 sprays at home at...
Mix some refried beans with chicken broth to thin them out a bit. Add Tabasco and fat free sour cream. If you like that kind of stuff. I ate that quite a bit 2 weeks out.
How about pureed cauliflower with a little fat free sour cream? I am shocked they are suggesting that you eat mashed potatoes. My go to was fat free refried beans during this stage.
Be careful...
Chicken Breast, Fried Eggs, Ground Beef, Ground Turkey, Ground Chicken, Shrimp(not breaded!!). I found steak too tough until about 3 months out.:p
Oh and TOFU was a nice treat!
Hi Patti, congrats and I think most of us are more like you than you think! I found that if I don't get the protein and stay low carb I stall as well even if calories are still low. Best of luck to...
My choices were, scrambled eggs, fat free refried beans, humus, oikos yogurt, cottage cheese, peanut butter. I found during the pureed/soft stage that there were not many things that I even wanted...
My doctor required full liquid pre-op diet for 2 weeks. Protein Shakes, Broth, Sugar Free Gelatin and that was about it. Oh, and sugar free Power Aid. But all doctors are different. They want you...
No regrets here aside from not doing it sooner! Best of luck with your journey. This is a great site for resources and support.

Try to stay off the scale for another week. Let your body adjust. Follow the plan, it works once everything normalizes.
Best of luck to you, sorry you had such a go of the surgery. I was one of...
I think the main reason they don't want you to drink alcohol is because of the calories. Just need to be smart about how many you have in my opinion. I was a relatively heavy beer drinker pre-op. ...
Oh, I chose not to sleep in the hospital bed the 1 night I was in. I staid in the recliner which helped me as well with getting up, etc..
I was fortunate, not much pain from my surgery. Worst for me was the gas right after but they get you up and walking around to get it moving out of your system. If like me right out of surgery they...
My understanding is that when you chew gum acid is released in your stomach which is not such a good thing for your sleeve. Also, grits may be a slider food which will not fill you up as much as...
Looking good dude! Congratulations!!!
Yes, I had wonton broth several times during my 2 week fast.
Welcome fellow sleeve brother! Best of luck to you on your big day. Great forum on here, lots of good info and people's stories.
Did you try the Premier brand? I had a hard time finding shakes I like and love this brand! However, I found chocolate and vanilla to be too sweet for me but I really enjoy the Strawberries n'...
WOW! What a great post. Thank you for sharing.
Lucy-June, two very respected woman on this forum just responded to you (RehabNurse and Christie13) and I can tell you from my experience that I have not had one problem, complication or issue from...
Premier Protein Shakes are my favorite especially the Caramel and Strawberries and Cream flavors. The Celebrate supplements are good and I also take a calcium supplement and B12 spray.
I am...
