    Hi Shelley

I see you are in the UK. Are you on Facebook? I have arranged a tummy tuck with Angela's Secret Surgery in Poland. She is UK based and very supportive of everyone who has had weight...

    Re: Wls and divorce

My hubby has been great throughout my journey. He was the one who suggested that I didn't bother waiting ofr a no from the NHS, and to pay and go private. He is pleased that I feel happier and...

    Re: question?

I was addicted to food, and thought about what I was going to eat every waking hour. After my sleeve op, my hunger definitely disappeared. For a while I had to remember to eat, but I did still have...

Re: 8 months out and at stall.

This is exactly what I have been wondering, am I eating too little? I have also started exercising, as previously I was a couch potato :-) My calories are usually around the 1000 mark, and I know...

Oh, I forgot to say - take your pre op diet seriously. I really think it helped me as my surgeon said my op went perfectly :)

    Re: hello; im afraid

That's an excellent post from Stephy, and totally the way I feel too! (except I'm older lol) Please don't be scared because I think more people breeze through the surgery, than those who have pain...

If it was aspirin based or non steroidal anti inflammatory, then that could be the problem. I was told no aspirin or ibuprofen ever to be taken.
  12. Re: Any post-sleevers out there that TRULY regret there surgery?

I am only 4 weeks out today, and it has been a breeze for me. I noticed earlier in the thread someone saying they were 9 days since surgery, and feeling full up after eating. Most surgeons tell you...

    Re: Taking the plunge

Welcome, and well done on your choice. I too nearly went down the band route, but because of forums like this one, I was guided by others who have had experience of the sleeve. The bypass was too...

Re: omg one day I will learn

I find I have to really concentrate when I eat, to chew it properly and eat slowly. Yesterday I went for lunch with friends, we were chatting away, our food arrived and before I thought about it I...

Re: New, Scared, Unsure, Need information

Once I had read about the band, I was put off for ever. They are now not looked upon as a permanent thing, just a temporary solution with a view to removing or changing after 5 years. If you look...

Re: What a Difference a Week Makes! Way better!!!

Sounds like you've done fine to me. I was on low fat, low carb diet for pre op, but didn't realise it was supposed to be low carb as well until a few days before my op. I lost 11lbs in 2 weeks, and...

    Re: Recovery time after surgery

I took 2 weeks off, but could have gone back to my desk job after a week. In fact I had my op on a Wednesday, flew home from Czech Republic on the Saturday, and was whisked off in a taxi to the...

    Hi Em
I didn't ever believe I would not feel hungry. The day I came home we stayed at my brother's, and he did his usual full English breakfast. I had a protein shake, and told them I really...

Re: Quick question for current sleevers????

The first drink given to me in the hospital after I came round was given through a straw, and I wasn't told not to use them. I don't use them normally, but wouldn't be unduly worried if I had to. ...
  23. Re: I have to ask the post-oppers Do Foley Cath's hurt??

I wasn't expecting one, so was shocked when I saw it - but it didn't hurt a bit, and saved me getting up for a wee in the night! They removed it the next morning, and that didn't hurt either. Don't...
