Hello all, just wondering, couple of weeks after my surgery I took Zinc and immediately threw up (well, more like dry heave) so I was left traumatized and never took zinc again. Fast forward to...
I actually have a high tolerance for pain but the surgery-site soreness was very discomforting once I awoke from surgery. However, I felt like it was all mental because the second I was out of the...
I've read lot of people don't. I personally did, its starting to slow down though. However, I probably did bring it upon myself. I just finished finals and I was not taking good care of myself. Just...
Don't be discouraged, your probably a slow loser just as myself. Give yourself time to adjust and let it happen slowly.
Atkins is good, and I forget what the brand name for a different one is, but their vanilla wafers except their also protein bars. If you go into any CVS or Harmons/Walgreens you should see them. They...

I had irritation in my arm, but they told me it was gas, which is was. But a tingling in the arm could mean other things as well, have it checked out.

@Sharon, thanks, I think I'm leaning in that direction too. I dont take my prilosec consistently, so I guess i'll start.
@Just Jean, I haven't tried either, and he didn't tell me I couldn't have it, he just said once I progress to solid foods everything else comes by itself with time. Im not a rice or pasta person so I...
Gotya, def something to look into when I meet my surgeon. Thanks!
I do feel hunger, but hunger doesn't necessarily have to be paired with nausea, hence my stomach acid inquiry.
Reply appreciated. Sarcasm misplaced.
Augie, I think I know what you mean. And I get like that too, so I try to have snacks between meals. Its annoying though, you'd think we wouldn't feel hungry like that so often.
Thanks for the quick reply Ace! Unfortunately, I don't throw up when I get the feeling, I ignore it and just eat something. Which totally leaves me in the dark lol
but whatever, YOLO
Hello all, just wondering, does anyone get this feeling of nausea when they haven't eaten for a certain amount of time? Someone mentioned it might be too much stomach acid? If...
@Bilsen, thanks for mentioning Katie. Shes great! I had considered two other hospitals to have my surgery at and all I was doing was the run around, with one coordinator unable to locate an entire...
Hi Angela, its not about being able to stick to the diet afterwards really, you will have no choice. Especially the first month, my only advice is, find some great tasting protein drinks, sugar free...
My mother wasn't that much of a support system for me either. I really had to pull myself through, especially those first wretched 3 days in the hospital. Its hard, especially when support from that...
Im a week out, and I also had a lot of difficulty those first 3 days. I was miserable! They brought be jello, and broth and other cold things but I was dry heaving and felt even stronger nausea once...
Wow, I didn't notice that. Talk about strange.
To answer your question (idk who it was for either) I'm 5 days post op now, unfortunately I'm not one of the lucky ones so I'm having great difficulty...
He's great, and takes good care of his patients. He did my sleeve on Thursday, however I didn't do it at Lenox, I chose Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt.Kisko. he works with both hospitals.
This gives me hope of progress in the future. I'm 4 days post op and can barely stand to drink anything.
Hello all, I'm now 3 days post op, and was sleeved on Thursday. I've been reading lots of positive experiences from people post op so I just wanted to know, when is it normal for incision...
