You are not alone. From what I understand, 1 1/2 years out is when some of the hunger returns. I was a low BMI'er like you, started at less than 200, settled between 140 and 150. Stupid to say,...

I feel like I am in denial that I even got a sleeve. I was prediabetic and I still have a major sugar cravings. I think because I did not have a really high bmi or weight I feel like I can get away...
I know this subject has been mentioned umpteen times, but please tell me when my hair will stop falling out.
Thank you.
I had shoulder and neck pain. Once in while if I eat too much I get it. I had a hiatal hernia repaired, and it irritated the vagus nerve in the body. That nerve leads up to your shoulder and neck....
Unfortunately, my sugar cravings have not diminished. I was hoping that would subside, especially since I had the surgery to ward off diabetes. Any suggestions out there would be appreciated.
Use a tongue scraper, and make sure you don't have thrush. Probiotics help.
Yes, just get back on it. Went on a Christmas cookie binge 3 days before my surgery. Was good before & after, just get back on it right away.
How is everyone's neuropathy? I think mine is getting worse, and could use some advice.
You can get them lasered off from what I understand.
30 pounds down and 1.5 per week is probably better than you were a year ago. Try and give it more time. I am recently sleeved also, and I really wish you success.
You can take any time released ones in applesauce. I think the vitamins sent you over the edge, but you have nothing to lose but weight! What is your alternative, taking all those meds and to keep...
You look great!
The movies is nice. If nothing is playing that you like, go get a spa pedicure, or buy makeup or perfume, a pretty scarf, a good book. Congratulations on your weight loss!
I did. My pre-op started the day after Thanksgiving, surgery December 19th, the Thursday before Christmas. I was pretty good with the 2 shakes a day & a sensible meal (kind of like slimfast, right?)...
It is disturbing. I lost weight before, but never this quickly. Pre surgery I was a 40 DDD. I don't know what I am now, but I lost a lot of volume. I just hope my whole body doesn't sag all over....
The shoulder & collar bone pain is from the vagus nerve, I have been told. Bizarre, I know, but if you research it a bit, you will see. It is in our abdomen, and it is one heck of a nerve!
Actually, there are many studies that fake sugar are neurotoxins. I have neuropathic pain & I have been advised by a Neurologist to avoid them. I don't like the taste, either. I would rather have...
I did the same thing. 4 1/2 weeks out, had some sweets & pasta this weekend, and I didn't get sick. I always do worse on the weekend. I need to knock it off, and save it for when it is worth it,...
I had the two week pre-op, 2 shakes a day, 2 pieces of fruit, lean protein & green vegetable for dinner. I think your body goes through so much during that surgery, a little clean eating right...
I was not told to not eat any fruit with seeds. Am I not supposed to?
Geez, that is terrible about your friend. She actually passed from having the gastric sleeve? That is frightening.
Don't eat a few hours before bed, and sleep on an incline. I have a wedge pillow I sleep on.
I compiled a list of questions, typed it up, and gave a copy to the surgeons attending Dr. (Doc was busy with new patients), me and my husband. I don't like his attending, he is young &...
Any suggestions for questions I should ask my surgeon tomorrow? His office is very busy, and I want to ask him a dozen questions that I can't think of now! Thanks
Dummy me bought 360 chewable calcium pills from Bariatric Advantage. They do not taste good, but I really don't want to buy inferior products, and I heard they were one of the best. I was sleeved...
