That's great - congrats to you!! Dr. Nease did my surgery back in Feb. :-)
Dr. Nease was my surgeon. He's great and I just love him and his staff! I go for my 6 month checkup on the 15th :).
Congrats!!
great job!! i've got 14 more pounds till i get there, and i think this is going to be the hardest 14 pounds ive ever lost! lol
You're doing great! I'm down 67 pounds since surgery and felt the need to pick up a couple things at the mall today (first time ive actually shopped a little since surgery). i was soooo happy - i...
I couldnt have survived post-op without it! I used mine for 2-3 weeks, especially in the car and when standing up from a chair. the hospital gave me one at discharge.
I'm about 7.5 weeks out and my multivitamin (they have me in a prenatal 2x day) is making me super nauseated lately. I think I'm gonna a go back to my chewable a tonight!
i'd been sick the day before surgery, so i was majorly dehydrated.. i also gained 12 pounds of fluid in the hospital (so glad to hear it wasn't just me!). I'd say mine was off in a week or so. drink...
I'm right there with ya! I miss food, and am mourning it now more than I did right after surgery. I want to eat everything but I jnow I couldn't even if I tried. I guess that's the while point of...
I kept the shakes. I'm 6 weeks out and just started the "normal" diet and I still have a shake most days. I'd struggle to meet protein goal without it.
Mine stayed in until my one week post op too. Honestly, I hated it. It was annoying and IMO, painful when it came out. It did give peace of mind though, knowing I didn't have any leaks. It served its...
My NUT recommends adding powdered milk to your pudding instead of the unflavored protein. It's soooo much better!
Definitely this is the worst. I had buyers remorse the whole time I was in the hospital but my worst was a couple days after I got home. It will get better and is so totally worth it! Good luck!
2 weeks full liquids, 2 weeks puréed. Tomorrow starts 2 weeks if "normal" but soft foods, then after 2 weeks of that, I'll be on just regular food.
Gosh that's a great list! My top things I'm looking forward to are riding bikes with my daughter, coming off my bp meds, buying a pair of Miss Me jeans, and buying bras at Victoria's Secret. There...
I ran my cream soups through a strainer to get all the chunks out, warmed it up a little, then added done unflavored protein. I wish I could say it was good, but I just can't lie lol :-).
I was in the hospital my first 2 full days post op so i didnt really keep track, but that sounds right on where i was at the time. the hospital was still giving me iv fluids to keep me hydrated. i'm...
Totally agree with the others. Rest up - napping is good!
I've been using Unjury, but it says to not use in temps over 140, so it wouldn't work in coffee. My dietician suggested nonfat powdered milk in coffee - it has 8g protein in 1/3 cup. I don't drink...
Thanks for sharing! I'm about a week out and had just a day or maybe 2 of buyers remorse. I'm over that completely and am sooooo excited to move along this journey!
Very exciting, and I totally understand your feelings! I got my sleeve yesterday and had similar feelings :-). Prayers for you!
Good luck! Tomorrow us my surgery day too! Soooo nervous & excited too
Wishing you all the best! You'll do great!
i LOVE your list!!
