OAM, I am curious about your comment about Quest bars. I too am addicted to those little buggers! I have one every morning.
First I want to apologize, mainly to myself for not visiting this page more often. I had the sleeve done on 12/10/13 and lost a total of 55 lbs. I am now at 175 lbs. My goal is to be at 150 and...
I am 5 months post-op. Today I reached a NSV, I tucked my shirt in! This may seem trivial to some however it has been 7 years since I tucked a shirt in. I was actually nervous to do it for fear...
I love Wendy's chili and the nutritional value is good for fast food. Google it and there is a recipie online. I'm going to make it at home with ground turkey to it's even healthier!
I started to feel hunger about 5 weeks post op. Sometimes I am outright starving if I let too much time go between meals. On the positive side, it doesn't take much to feel full!
I am 2 months out and had a glass for my birthday this past Monday. All is good. I think they worry we are going to replace emotional eating with alcoholism. I also tried a watered down vodka...
I wouldn't sweat it. The strips never touched my gas pains. Now I'm wishing I never purchased so many! I would mail them to you if there was time. Good luck with everything.
I had a long stall from week 3 to week 6. My nutritionist suggested I back off the carbs a bit. I was taking in 70-90/day now I am anywhere between 30-50 and the weight started to come off again....
Peanut butter was on my approved soft foods list. Just use sparingly if having the regular kind. I agree with all the other posters, PB2 is the best!
If it is any consolation I did not have one bit of buyers remorse. I have been very lucky and never had any pain or complications.
I take 1 Flinstones w/iron, 1200 Calcium, 1 B 12(sublingual), and 1 Biotin. All required by my nutritionist. I am 6 weeks post-op today. Waiting to get my blood drawn as we speak!
You are not the only one. I was also sleeved on 12/10 and have been stalled since 12/24. I actually gained 4 lbs (possibly from constipation) and just lost that this past week. The scale has not...
I was sleeved on 12/10 and have been in a stall since Christmas :( I keep to the food plan and upped my exercise this week so hopefully things start to move again. It's so frustrating being at 204...
They were Shiratki noodles. Not sure on the brand. I did rinse them good. I get recipes from the Hungry Girl and she makes an Alfredo with them and laughing cow cheese, so good. I just couldn't get...
I have tried them, thought they were like chewing rubber bands.
Best buy has a deal on the Fitbit Aria scale. It is wi-fi and syncs with an app on your smartphone. If you buy it with a pedometer the bundle is cheaper and it's free shipping. I just purchased it...
I have been stalled at the same weight since 12/24. I hear it is normal at this stage in the journey. I am keeping calm and keeping on! Sticking to the nutritional guidelines and walking. I have...
My belly itched in the exact same spots you described! I used anti-itch cortisone cream when it was unbearable. It only lasted a few days for me.
I am right there with you-sleeved on 12/10. Down 8 lbs (not including the 10 lb gain from the iv's). I agree with everyone, we are still healing from surgery. I look at it this way. I can't remember...
I will take those types of victories over any other! Congratulations and keep up the good work!
I gained 10 lbs from the fluids. They give you saline in the IV. It took me a week to lose it. Don't sweat it, no pun intended! I am 1 week post op and am down 3 lbs from surgery day not including...
My surgeon did it while he was still operating by using saline and air and checked for bubbles. The next day I had a liquid test that constited of minimal ounces of water over a period of time.
I don't pay attention to oz/hour. I keep a water bottle on the tray table next to me so it's right there to remind me to sip away!
My nutritionist gave me some of the cups. I am using them for the protein and broths but for water I sip until I feel full then go back to it after the feeling goes away. I am def not getting more...
Omy, I do get really full after a few sips. I can't seem to get 4 oz of protein drink in my at 1meal by hat is what scares e at the moment. I am hoping it is gas and will get better with time....
