Congrats on your surgery. Have they checked your kidneys? My fiance is in end stage renal failure and they have to watch his thyroid panel too. He has to take binders (which help bind potassium and...
I don't know if you can post op, but I use a 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar and it works for me. I can't breathe for a second or two, LOL, but it's ok.
I had my third class today and I've been there before anyone the last two times. I'm just so ready to get these over with and get my date. If my insurance ok's it of course.
I'm so afraid when it comes my time to quit too. I also still have till April or May also. Just thinking about it right now makes me crave one. LOL. Thanks for your question. :-)
I bet that was a trip. :-)
I hope my Doc tells me more on my fifth visit (when I need to have the majority of my criteria done), but the paperwork I have gotten just says a clear liquid diet 3 days before surgery.
You could always get them tailored too. I don't know how much it is to get clothes altered but it would probably save you from having to buy a whole new waredrobe.
No, I don't like my picture taken because of my size. It just makes me sad when I see pictures of myself.
I went for a consultation with on Thursday with Dr. Tom Brown at Presbyterian/St. Lukes in Denver Colorado. I just thought it would just be a talk with the Doc and get info. I ended up seeing the...
I know how you feel. I fly to Arizona this October. It's not a big commercial plane either. I don't know what's going to happen and I'm worried.
I also have the same insurance. Now I'm getting a little worried. LOL
I was wondering about donating organs. My fiance is in renal failure now (but it's not the reason I want the surgery) and I was wondering if I was able to donate one if he did not get one by the time...
You look great!
At least you were wearing clean underwear. Right?? LOL
Contrats. Your an inspiration to me. I hope to be like you someday. :-)
My dentist suggested it too. I can not afford to be off work that long (without it being a medical leave). And I could not stand for anyone yelling at me while I tried my best during exercise. I do...
Post-op weight restriction (for gall bladder surgery) was like 5 to 8 pounds for 2 weeks. You have to watch the opening sites. They are just steri-stripped and stiched up and any tugging can open...
I have not had the sleeve done yet, but when I had my gallbladder out when I was a CNA in a nursing home, they told me to take off 4 weeks just in case. (Luckily I had short term disability on my...
That's wonderfull. Congratulations? Where did you start getting the help to start with, If I may ask? Thanks
I have felt your pain. I have not had the surgery yet, but I have had my gallbladder out. They said I had a lot of sludge in mine too. Good luck. :-)
Thank you all for your encouragement. I know that there are people who have had way worse exprience with this and made it through. I will try to keep my hopes up and the jealousy monster down. :-)
Thank you the kind words. My credit sucks right now and I have a garnishment. I was going to use our taxes to at least put the down payment and use the rest to do chapter 13. But that just kinda feel...
I got some bad news today. We looked over our fincances (what we will need in the next 6 months) and I won't have enough to pay for my co-pay for my surgery. Maybe next year. This sucks. :-(. I have...
