Hi Everyone! I am currently 3 weeks post-op and still feel good, but I do have a question for everyone. Is it normal to feel empty or hunger pains/pangs? It seems I have that "feeling" quite often. I am eating the following on a daily basis and take plenty of time, I think to eat and chew:
6 oz. cottage cheese - breakfast (over course of 30-45 minutes)
3 oz. Tuna salad (pureed) w/ 1/4 slice avocado (mashed) lunch (30 minutes)
3 oz. Tuna or Chicken Salad, 2 spears
WOW do I feel great. I have been home from the hospital since Friday 9/14, I was in about 2 short days!!! I took all the good advice I have received here and did what my doc and other staff told me to do. I teasingly said I didn't think they did anything to me, since I felt so good and that if I don't lose the weight, I'd be back to see them Pain has been minimal, just notice if I stretch the wrong way, etc... Good Morning All! I am on Day 3 of the pre-op liquid diet. Happy to say I have stuck to it completely. It is almost as if I have flipped a switch in my brain after having decided this is the path I am on. I have been trying to be mindful of every bite I put in my mouth and every ounce I drink, and to take plenty of time to eat my meals. I have been hungry, but nothing unmanageable. This is all so new to me...I have never done a "blog" entry before so here it goes. I received the news yesterday at my pre-op with my surgeon, Dr. Peterson, that my insurance had approved the surgery. What a momentous day in my life and still very surreal.
