It is the middle of the night, tomorrow morning will be 2 days after surgery. Yesterday was rough. My first night at the clinic my roommate was a plastic surgery patient from the day before. She was awful. She bitched, moaned, complained, screamed, pouted, and texted her husband all night with the clicks ON on her phone. I was so glad to be rid of her and go to the hotel. We spent the day at the hotel, I mostly slept or walked a little. We did manage to walk around the block, it took forever but I did it. We had to go back to the clinic for meds and I was stuck staying there for several hours getting a bag of IV fluids because I was dehydrated. I am not getting liquids down like I should.
There were several surgeries my day, 6 of us are together at the hotel. Tomorrow is the blue dye test and then the barium one. After that the drain gets pulled. We stay one more night in Mexico then go home.
I am having upper chest gas pain that bothers me most besides the sleep issues. I have had sleep problems for years though. I did manage to get down a sleeping pill last night but it only lasted 6 hrs or so. Hence, I am up in the middle of the night!

I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner!!! Life got crazy for a few days! I got really nervous too! A few days before i was worried about things like will it work what if I fail at this should I even do this am I being vain!!! But know this I would do.it again and I had a complication right after surgery! The weight is coming off slow and steady! Ive healed nicely and am learning how to do with head hunger and my emotional eating soooooo I think I'm gonna make it and so will you mark!! Hope u are home by now and doing great!!! I'm down about 25 in 8 weeks. I'm thrilled with that! Wish I got to chew food. Funny how recommendations vary so much.

Luckily I have not had to do the liquid diet. My only required three planned meals with two snacks. My dietician said she wanted me to chew food until the last possible moment since I won't be chewing after the surgery for awhile.
Since im a football coach ive been around protein drinks for awhile so I'm used to them.
Wow!! While on vacation?!? Great will power! Kudos!
Since May 22 I've lost 16 pounds so far

You too Mark! I've been doing the low carb/low fat thing starting 8 weeks from my surgery. I also started incorporating protein drinks to get used to them. Then, 2 weeks ago I went on full liquids. When I have my surgery, I will have gone 14 days without food, with a vacation in the middle of that!
