I'm dying to make these. Not really interested in eating them, just love the way they look

Inspired to share these from your hydrangea photo.

    Hi Sharon

Thank you for your lovely words of encouragement. I am looking forward to the operation making big changes in the way I eat but I'm also worried about not being able to stuff my face again! lol Thus far, I have failed miserably on the optifast diet before the surgery and after I come home, if I have to have optifast, I'll happily do it, but will replace the shakes for something a little more interesting. I've tried lots of different shakes over the years and there are some excellent other choices available.

From what I've gleaned, people who've had the surgery actually need to remind themselves to eat.... wow... can't wait for that feeling. It's funny how the body can plateau like that and then begin again. Will be interesting to see how that goes for me. 3 more sleeps!!

    Cheers

    Ellen

Hello Sharon: thanks for your message of encouragement. Yes initially I wasnt going to take a long time off work, but in hindsight am glad that I did. Went out with my sister yesterday and did a little shopping. Today I took Freya (my dog) on our first walk, she is very well trained and knows when I tell her to go slow, which meant no pulling on the lead. Yeay. Friday I see the surgeon again, be interested to see how much weight I have lost, will then put up another post as to my progress 2 weeks out. Be great when I see the weight dropping off, then I can go shopping for clothes. Cheers.

I have had a rough time of it but think I am on the mend now. I had post op internal bleeding and had to be given blood. I'm still real weak but it seems to be getting better daily. Thanks for checking on me.

Hi Sharon, I think I'm on may way again. Down 2 pounds this week. It may be a slow loss but a loss just the same. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little antsy about it but i'll give it the time it needs. good to hear your losing again as well. Best of Luck Kiddo!

Thanks Sharon for ur kind words! I try my best it definately wasn't easy having a new baby and surgery but I'm glad I did it and got the surgery part over while she was very young. Now she is crawling and it's easy to keep up rather than sitting back on the lounge watching. She was the main reason I chose surgery. My goal has always been to be able to keep up with her as she grows. We started our puree' food together haha which made making meals very easy..we enjoyed our Mushy veggies n fruit together! I wish you well on your journey too. Hayley xo

Sorry Sharon, but I can't resist sending a link to all the arachnaphobes...
You said we get used to the spiders here in Oz. But nothing eeks me like the photos following the recent NSW floods.

    Hi Sharon,
I'm in Connecticut, referred to as southern New England. 1 of the Colonies under King Georges rule proir to our dustup with the Empire. Queeensland has been a destination inwhich my wife would like to travel before to many more years go by. Sit on a sunny beach while the snowstorms roll through here at home. HA! I see you were sleeved about a week before I was. How has it gone for you thus far? For me it's been a breeze except for the fact that I am currently in a stall now for the better part of 2 weeks. I know it will pass but after the first 35 pounds melting away I still have that hope it would continue at the hares pace and not the tortoise. Ah well it will all be good down the way and I hope this finds you healthy and losing a little of yourself each week. Good Luck my Aussie friend! Don

Hey Sharon, doing really well actually. Little pain mostly discomfort and no sickness. Has been so much better than I thought it would be. Thanks for checking on me.
  15. Hi Everyone, I'm going really well. Start gym yesterday and my weight has stalled a little. I'm still focussed and enthusiastic. Thanks for your lovely messages, Sharon

My Journey - A gift for myself

by SaguaroSanctuary on 02-27-2013 at 09:16 PM
This is such a wonderful gift we have given ourselves.

Some useful tips I have from my journey; Take lots of before photos dressed, and in undies, different angles. Take your measurements; neck, bust, arms, thighs, waist, hips and bum! I do this every month on the anniversary of the op. I used a program called PERFECT DIET TRACKER where I could map my progress on a chart, it's really easy to use. I kept my favourite shorts and top and took photos of my progress wearing these when
