I used to drink the Bolthouse stuffs before surgery. Delicious, but now they're WAY too high in sugar for me. I get that whole lovely dumping syndrome thing. I have to keep my shakes under 10g of sugar. Lately I've been doing the Nectar Syntrax Sweets. They're not too thick, not chalky at all, and I can actually mix them with a spoon (instead of using a shaker cup on other shakes and still having nasty little lumps).

That's kind of what I figured. It sucks that someone else is having problems, but it is rather nice to know you're not alone =) The boards here are filled with chipper hope and enthusiasm, and that's good.... but sometimes I just want to smack people into my reality... I'm sure you understand.

After being out of work for 14 months and 5 surgeries (4 due to complications) myself, I just wanted you to know you're not alone. Hang in there. Feel free to check out my blog for my gory horror story, or send me a message if you just need someone to comiserate with =)

Unfortunately I am not pursuing a case. I was told that even though Dr. Curry did bare minimum of what was expected there is no case because he didn't HAVE to do anything more. Isn't that stupid? I have had nothing but severe issues since surgery. Everyone told me it was because Dr. Curry did nothing for so long that my body ended up being full of infection and I was being starved so I couldn't heal.
I have considered writing a letter to them and letting them know my experience was bad and that I was going to write the identical letter to the Cincinnati Enquirer. I just can't believe there is nothing that can be done. All the lawyers I called (and I tried shopping around) wanted lots of money up-front to even start taking a look at things. I didn't call Elk and Elk but someone suggested that I do that. I will say that if you think you would pursue something to do it soon. I was told you have one year from the last time you saw the doctor to do anything.
Are you still having issues as well? If you are I am so sorry. It's awful to have gone in for something that was supposed to be a two day thing and that within two weeks you were supposed to be back to normal activity and now (for me) being nearly 9 months out and still very sick is just wrong. I long to feel better and not have a feeding tube and drainage tube sticking out of me.
Once I am well enough for visitors you should stop over for coffee sometime since we are both in Milford.
