I just had the Surgery on the 17th of April...
It has been tough! Because, I really don't get
hungry. I can go almost half a day before I
even want anything to eat.

Plus, it seem in this early stage in the process
I can't seem to like anything no more. The liquid
diet has been a rask, I can't wait ti gain my taste
for food back?

Hey Lady~ It seems like we have the same doctor for our surgery. My first appointment w/ Dr. Nicholson is the 20th. What are your opionions of him? Ive heard some awesome things about him.

I feel the same way. I told my husband I can not wait for the survey to come in the mail because the care I recived there was better than at any other hospital.

Yes, I went to Forest Park; excellent facility, staff. Nursing staff was great (from PCTs to charge nurses), hospital generalist, pre-op, anesthesiology, post-op...I plan to write a letter soon to commend them all.

How is recovery going? I'm also a Texan who had my sleeve done on 01/03/12.

I see your surgery is scheduled for Tuesday. I'll have you in my prayers for a successful surgery and a very easy recovery. You're right though. This is a very hard and brave path to health. Dr. Nick did my surgery on 11/1/11 and although I have had my own challenges, I have never regretted my decision once. I am 62 days out and I feel great. I am down from a size 18W to a regular 12/14 and still losing. I'm very sure you'll be as happy as I am. Try not to get discouraged, don't rush anything. Stay in touch. This is an awesome group whose encouragement has made the difference in my recovery.

Hi I am in this forum so I don't have to be on this Journey alone. I don't believe people who are not thinking bout WLS or had WLS surgery understand that this is a hard way to lose weight. Surgery is very hard on the body and I commend everyone who is able to go trough with the process.
