I went for my 1st visit with Dr. Merriman today. I have been penciled in for 11/18.

How was your experience? The EGD? Schrumpert? Any unexpected issues?

I know this may be disgusting to some, but I figure we all will have disgusting issues on here, so.....has anyone had problems with hemoroids? I woke up this morning with horrible pain and used an OTC medication but it did not help. This is different from others I have had as it is hard in texture. Sorry. But can anyone help or relate?

Day 3 out of being sleeved. Cant say I'm ready to run any marathons but my sister is keeping me on task for my drinking and walking. I actually stayed 2 nights in the hospital. Today I have had sf jello, broths, water and Motts 100%juice apple carrot, I know it sounds kind of a strange combination but it really is quite tasty. Gonna try to get a restful night tonight without people coming in and out of my room. My dog, Dino, has not left my side. He is so spoiled!

I was on clear liquids for a week, full liquids for another week, puree'd foods for a week, soft foods for a week and then slowly moved on to regular foods while still including the previous foods into my daily food intake. Just don't get ahead of yourself. Take small sips and then small bites. Don't be in a big hurry to eat whatever you want.
