  1. update... I started my 12 month diet diary with my doctor, and my nutritionist. So far so good. I quit drinking pop and I drink water water and water. I found sobe life water acai fruit punch is good. no calories, no fat, no sugar. I actually like it. I think doing this before my surgery is good. It will get me geared up for my eating after surgery....

I found out I have severe sleep apnea, I got my cpap. It's set at 13. I feel so much better with my cpap. I am not tired as much anymore.

It's going to be a long road before I can get approved for my surgery. I hope it goes fast.

God Bess and Good luck to everyone.

    Hi Cindylou,
That is terrible about your year long wait!!! I have never heard of it taking that long. One thing for sure, you will know you are committed by that time! I am having my surgery in Mexico of August 9th. It cost $4500, which includes pre-op tests, surgery, anesthesia, ground transportation to/from Jerusalem Hospital, antibiotics and pain meds during recovery, guests stay for free. I pay additional for hotel and air fare in San Diego (night before surgery). You can talk to Louise Johnson at (866) 806-4286 if you are interested.
I am paying for mine privately because Kaiser said my BMI was too low. Unfortunately, I still fall in the obese range and my broken knee is healing a little slower because I can't move about with the extra weight. I have never been a big exercise nut, tho have always enjoyed walking and shopping. Weight sticks to me and now that I am getting older, it really won't come off. I pray that the gastric sleeve works as well on me as it is doing for my husband. (Kaiser did his.)
Hang in there Cindy. You are pretty resourceful or you wouldn't have been able to wade through the insurance stuff to get to this point!
    Stay in touch,
    Roxanna

    Hi cindylou
I am just learning this system, but wondered if you have had your surgery yet? If so, what did you think? Take care of yourself and keep me in the loop!
