Feeling sore but really pretty good. Gas, gas, gas.
I went for a long walk today.
The things you should bring is gas ex,heating pad, and your lap top with some DVD's. There is only 3 English channels and I went to by a DVD and then I couldn't hook it up, they blocked all the TV's so it's a waste.
Tonight is my last IV bad and tomorrow morning I go get my leak test. If that goes well then I get my IV and drainage tube out, pray for happy thoughts...

Ok, we'll I finally got to the Hotel. I walked into the hotel and there was a group of women. I asked them if they were having surgery tomorrow, and they told me they were done, and going home tomorrow, they said it was great.....WOW,I feel so releaved.
I get picked up tomorrow at 8:00am, and Surgery should be around 10. I am drinking some yummy broth, and taking my meds and going to try to go to sleep. I'm a mess and just want this over. I'm pretty though but the waiting sucks.
I will check in or have my sister check in tomorrow if not I will be back Tuesday.

Hello my friend. What an adventure u r on sorry I haven't written. You are in my prayers for Monday. I hope your hotel is super nice and they take good care of you. I live in Yucaipa Ca-near Redlands in south ca. Maybe one day we can get together. Congrats on your preop loss. They have done so many of these I am sure you are in good hands. Hello my friend. I am feeling really well as far as the sleeve goes. I haven't had to use pain meed at all since leaving hospital. they kept my pain under great control in hosp. Gave me dilaudid pump and it worked well. When they removed the dilauded they gave me liquid tylenol with hydrocodone-i guess like Norco or vicodin????? I only used that twice. I remember nothing about surge just anesthesiologist putting mask on me and saying take nice deep breaths. Next thing I know I am in recovery very gently waking up. No pain just sleepy. Had an abdominal binder on with 5 incisions super glued ha ha and the jp drain. They got me up for my first walk just before midnight. I felt wobbly for sure. The worst ordeal for me which I hadn't thought about at all was the next morning I had to do the barium swallow to check for leaks. It tastes grossssssss and I had to stand on a little ledge and turn left side right side. No small feat for a 374 lb lassie? At one point the tech said ahhhh ma'am u have to let go of me! Anyway hope my long text helps relieve the pain issue for u. I hags some swelling in my left legvright now but I get chronic cellulitis so that's no surprise . No clots tho yay. Anyway Lisa let me know if u want to know anything more. The drain u have to actually empty twice a day and measure fluid coming out. Didn't pool for almost a week with milk of magnesia. Sorry tmi. Ta ta for now. I am thinking of u Monday is almost here!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm a little bit insane... I will admit it was nice leaving work today knowing that I wouldn't see that place again until I'm done...yahoo.
I'm glad your feeling better. Was it awful? That's what I wNt to know. Does the pain meds work, am I going to cry from the pain.
