    Thanks for the advice on the protein powder. With the shakes my doctor allows it seems chocolate is all that is easily available. Your recommendation on adding spices is a great one and greatly appreciated. Congrats to you on your successes thus far. Here's to a healthy 2015!

I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
I am a nurse who lives in the Pacific NW. I have tried many weight loss programs without any long-term success. I know I need to loose weight for immediate health benefit and to have a longer life.
After a lot of research I have decided to have the gastric sleeve surgery on 12/8/2014. I think it is the tool that will help me meet my goal of becoming overweight. Being overweight will be healthier than being obese.

I just had gastric sleeve surgery yesterday with Dr. Quinones at the Sante Fe Clinic. All went well. They have been keeping the pain and potential nausea under control.

Dr. Q is very personable and answered all my questions well. All of the staff have been very kind and attentive.There is always a translator on staff.

I have felt very comfortable traveling alone. My husband stayed home with our teenage daughter. It has been great having "me time".
