    Yes ma'am, I am doing fine. The hematoma wasn't my problem, I had ovarian cysts that have ruptured that was causing my pain. The hematoma - I was told - is like a blood blister, it goes away on its own and usually isn't painful. I will be having my ovaries removed July 29th to complete the partial hystorectomy I had in 1996

    Wow!!! you came home just hours after surgery? WOW!!!!

    I am planning on driving about 90 miles to have my surgery. SO I was planning of getting a hotel room and staying one more night near the hospital so I wouldn't be riding and hurting. My wife is driving, so I can take some meds, if needed.

    I could only eat half of the small avocado - but it kinda makes my stomach rumble. I love them, but it might not like me anymore

    LOL I know what you mean I licked a slice of Subway Pizza. The things we do. So how did it feel eating the avocado.

    I'm suppose to still be on full liquids but I have cheated just a little with refried beans, alvacado, hummus & today shredded beef from fuzzy's (I only ate a little of that - but then decided to chew it and get all the good flavors - then take it out and give it to my dog so I wasn't swallowing all that beef - but it sure did taste good!)

    Hi I am from Sherman, Tx had my sleeve done on the 22nd. I am still on full liquids until Monday. I found a Smothie King today while in Plano for
    Physical Therapy they have a Smoothie that has 46 grams of Protein and taste good too. My incisions itch a lot right now be glad when they completly heal. Wow you didn't have to.stay over night how did you do that I was inpatient two days.

    I had my surgery at about 11:00 today, and got back home around 6:00. Moving around pretty good. They told me I did wonderfully. I'm a bit sore, but doing good

Biography:
Well, I started out on this journey at 240 lbs and very unhappy with myself. I wasn't me anymore - I didn't like who I had become. I had my surgery 04/21/14 and I'm only about 8 weeks out, but I am slowly becoming me again. I smile more, and I'm starting to be the woman I knew was trapped inside all these years.

I have lost 40 lbs now (8 weeks out) and went from a tight 18 to a now loose 14. I don't exercise like I know I need to, but I'm sure I will be starting something soon. I'm about to go through another surgery in July, so after the recovery on that - I will start my routine (hopefully)

Onederland .... Finally made it

I woke up Friday morning and I was 198. I was so excited since the last 3 weeks I had been teetering between 200 & 202. I didn't want to post anything yet just in case I went back up but yesterday I was at 195 so I think I'm good and will continue my loss. I hope I never see that 200 or above again! I think it's been since 2001 or so for the last time I was under 200 lbs. I'm ready for what ever is to come next!

First post-op appointment

I just had my first post op appointment since my surgery (17 days out). I was 240 lbs just a month ago, now I'm 216. I'm already noticing the changes and I'm so happy. I can't wait for my 6 week appointment.
