About RaeRae
- Sleeved or not sleeved:
- I have had a gastric sleeve.
- Biography:
- I have been over weight for the majority of my life. With my crazy work schedule, and excuse after excuse I have been unable to take the weight off. I have maintained the same size for the last 4 years. I heard about the gastric sleeve through a co-worker who was thinking of getting it done herself. We flew out to Tijuana on Monday 1/27/14 and got our sleeve the next day. So the adventure is just beginning for me.

I can't believe I'm under 200lbs!! I haven't been this thin in over a decade! I am loving the weightloss, but definitely still have my struggles. I still get sick quite often. Can't eat but a couple bites of food, which is fine when I'm alone but it makes it hard for work meetings and dates. I feel like it's awkward to take a few bites and I always don't feel good afterward no matter what I eat. I've definitely had a mind set change. I used to enjoy eating. It was pleasurable. Now I hate it, I'd

I've reached day 30. I was hoping to feel better when it comes to food consumption but I don't. I'm having a hard time getting fluids down and still can't eat. Everything is a struggle. Went for a check up and the DR. Felt my abdomen and said it didn't seem like a gallstone. I want to eat something but it seems like it gets easier 1 day and is completely hard the next. It just seems like 1 month post-op should be a little easier than this. I'm loving the weight loss, but I hate feeling sick all

Ugh! The last couple days I have felt more sick than ever before. I struggled because I visited my family this weekend and realized some triggers which gave me my first real bought of head hunger. It was hard seeing them eat whatever they wanted, although I was glad I physically couldn't eat it. I downloaded the my fitness pal app to keep track of what I was consuming. I am barely getting in 200-300 cals a day. I'm nauseated and used to be able to tolerate protein drinks. But suddenly the last two

Well I am day 5 post-op. Today has been a lot better than yesterday! I was able to drink broth slowly throughout the day. I bought Zantac and took it first think this morning which I think made a world of difference. I also went for a mile walk around my neighborhood. I haven't needed any of my pain meds which is awesome! I think the hardest thing to stomach is the antibiotics. Even cutting them in half hurts going down. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time. I go back to work tomorrow, on
