This is being written from a 4 1/2 week post-op prospective. When I was researching the gastric sleeve surgery everyone I came in contact with, including friends who had the surgery, praised the sleeve to high heaven. All saying it was the best decision that they ever made and the only thing they regretted was not doing it sooner. Does the amount of food you can eat increase over time after having the sleeve?

I am having a hard time getting all this protein in. Not to mention that 64 oz of fluid!
It really is a job to get both the fluids and the protein in. I bought the whey protein shots and I try to do them, but they are just so damn nasty and I can only get about half of one in at a time. My instinct is to just down the nasty thing real quick, but my sleeve says no, no , no.

I started my journey to mexico simply by requesting information on the Mexico Bariatric Center website. I got an email within a day from a patient coordinator named Cindy. She answered any questions that I had and then she emailed me forms, that get sent to the doctors, to see if I am a good candidate for the surgery. I was able to submit the forms electronically. I got approved for surgery within 3 or 4 days. I then had to fill out a full medical history form and was also able to submit those electronically.
