Honestly, I have a lot of head hunger. The food thing is constantly an issue at my house because between the five of us (husband and three kids) there is always food being eaten. Lots of yummy foods, smells, and it's torture. I was hoping I wouldn't have an appetite, but I totally do and it's killin me! When I feel hunger, I have tried to eat thinned out beans (protein drinks I can't do all day every day) or thinned pumpkin soup and it hurts. Or I try broth of ramen noodles. Got a few noodle bits and had horrible pain. I'm sticking to liquids and just trying to get to the no pain part and wanting to feel satisfied, but it's not easy. I've had bouts of pain and diarrhea all week, with a couple good days. My incisions are on fire, my ribs are really achy, and I am having a hard time sleeping. I wanted so bad for this to be smooth sailing as Mexico was (I felt great there!) but it's been a little bumpy at home.
I bet if it get to a strict clear see-thru liquid diet for a day it would help.

Hey Paula! Hope all is well! I'm resting at home now, but I trust you are recovering well and will be feeling better soon. Don't know if you have access to the internet, but know I'm thinking about you. Don't overdo it. Rest. Enjoy that super comfy bed at the marriott and enjoy the yummy broth, jello, and Popsicles! Every day will get even better!

Hey paula when do you arrive? Im getting released and going to the hotel now. They did a great job at managing my pain from the start. I am feeling good and everyone was nice and helpful. The surgeons were fantastic and they have checked back in with me and I believe they did an A+ job! I really have nothing but good to say. The only challenge I found was the language barrier during the night shift the nurses hardly spoke any English. No biggie. Bring gasx strips.

Everything is going good Paula! Everyone is nice and helpful. The Drs were great - top notch.
I've had minor pain and they've kept on top of the pain well. So glad to have gotten the iv out!
I hope you arrive safe, what day do you arrive to the hotel?

Yes, I'm super pumped and ready. I wish it were tomorrow. I'm ready to get it done and behind me. I probably will see you Monday!
