Hello again Margaret. Oh I remember Lakeside Mall. I wish I could remember the name of the road our appartment was located on. I remember it ran parallel to the Causeway Drive and was very close to the lake. I will ask my X - you never know he may choose to reply lol He has much better memory for that sort of stuff. I remember 3 or 4 appartment blocks that ran back from the street, a courtyard between the blocks and a swimming pool out back. I remember we used to like shopping at JC Penny.

Australia is different. Blindingly blue skys, red earth, and in Western Australia more wildflowers than almost anywhere on the planet. In Perth our winters are mild, we wouldn't know what snow is, and or summers can be blistering hot.
Is New Orleans recovering from the dreadful cyclone of a few years back? Have they learn't some lessons regarding where NOT to build?
I am about to enjoy a small bowl of Chile Con cairn (spelling?). I don't cook a lot because I am single and I am still learning how to cook small lol

Hi Susan! I moved to Metairie in 1978. It is growing crazy fast! I-10 widening project has been going on for years. Six lanes in some Places! Lakeside mall has expanded to the corner of Causeway and Vets. And the Elmwood area is now a shopping mecca!

My surgery is Nov 18 and I am so excited. I found a Dr in New Iberia that has a cash price of 9800.00. Best money I will ever spend:-)

Austrailia looks lovely from everything I have seen. How long have you been there? Couldnt get enough of the beautiful sites while watching the Olympics a few years back.

Hello there. I lived in Metairie LA for a year in a prevous life! It was way back in the early 70's and my kids were babies.
