About kawalla50
- Sleeved or not sleeved:
- I have had a gastric sleeve.
- Biography:
- I was sleeved December 2010, suffered many complications. My surgeon nicked my spleen. I had massive internal bleeding and ended up with a blood clot in my lung. This caused me a calapsed lung. I spent a month in the hospital and have struggled to keep myself healthy. I had my gallbladder removed 10 months post op. I recently discovered I have reactive hypoglycemia. I have lost 110 pounds with a regain of 15 pounds. I still struggle emotionally with my food addiction and I know this will always be something I have to work on. I'm not perfect and don't always make the right choices but I own this and love myself anyway. Despite all the struggles my sleeve was and still is the best choice I have made. I still look in the mirror and struggle not to see my "fat" self. I don't always give myself enough credit but I know I am strong and I am capable as long as I keep fighting. This is journey is not easy and this surgery was not an easy out. I am inspired by the many people that travel this path and willing to help anyone I can. I wish you all the best.
