Your before and after pictures are amazing! Congratulations to you on doing such a great job. You are an inspiration. My surgery is a little over 2 weeks away and I go through the nervousness of I'm excited to nervous to excited etc. It's now time for me to be serious about my pre op diet so I will start that tomorrow I've already cut out soda so that's a good start. Any advice that you have would be fantastic. Thanks

Hey Blackbry63. I'm so glad you're still doing well at 2.5 years out. What a great inspiration; it came right at the moment I need it. You look great, and you sound happy and continuously encouraged/motivated. I am almost right at 1 year, and I've stopped losing... and started going back the other way I hit the 199 milestone and I've crept back up to 203 now, headed into the holidays. I'm actually petrified, but I'm trying not to let that paralyze me; I want to use it as motivation. I actually thank you for your Visitor Message because it made me come back on here and get back into the support system. I went through a lot through Summer 2015 heading into the Fall... but I need to get to a space where stress and circumstances don't dictate my weight. I'm working with a variety of doctors to help that happen.

I am 14 months out and am trying to maintain my weight. I am continuing to lose which is not what I want. I am down to 143 and would like to gain about 7 pounds. I don't want to look stick thin with skin hanging off of me. If I ever lost the excess skin I would probably be at least 10 pounds less. Never did I dream of having the issue of being too thin!! I am starting to track again so I keep my calorie count up.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I am doing great! Not losing much but that is ok! I like where I am! I am losing about a pound every week and a half.. Which is so nice... slow enough to deal with the skin! I feel great about myself! I don't usually have problems with junk food, but I do need to pay attention to alcohol. I do like my glass of wine. And at this time of year, there are so many functions... I try to go to the gym to make up my bad habits! You look great! Keep up the great work! I am so happy that I did this for myself! Have a great Thanksgiving!

WOW! Hi neighbor you photos are great! I live in Southern, MD. Which hospital/surgeon did you go to? I'm having such a hard time with aid reflux and vomitting! My surgery was 3 months ago, losing the weight but just miserable. My primary wants me to find another surgeon so maybe I could chat with your doctor. Oh btw I was wearing the waist snatcher for a quick minute but gotta get this acid reflux under wraps. Any advice

It's getting better. I think since I have returned to work, I am up and moving. This gives me less time to worry about food and weight loss. I do what I need to do, pack my lunch, snack and go. I have lost 3 pounds since then.. I'm doing my happy dance.. I'm feeling better about my decision since my ability to swallow has gotten a lot easier. And since the weight is starting to come off, it has stroked my ego some... So I'm happy...
