No bm

I am 4 days since operation and have had no bm. Is this normal? I was always regular 2x a day girl. Any suggestions? I also have a pain in my left shoulder in the back since surgery. What does this mean? I had to go to the chiropractor. I may have hurt it getting out of bed in the hospital but it may be something else.
