Chris, I too am getting excited the closer it gets.
I started a new group under the "similar medical circumstances" and it is called the Do's and Don'ts of bariatric surgery. There are so many people asking me questions every day considering I am an RN and worked in Bariatric Hospital in about every department and also a lap band previous bariatric patient about to have a sleeve. I have collected lots of very informative information related to pre and post bariatric surgery. Go look at those. Some are lengthy and will keep your mind busy. I have combined lots of bariatric doctor and hospital instructions to patient and tried to make them as comprehensive as possible.
I have tried to cover every aspect that could occur and treatments, and also positive ideas and suggestions to prevent problems. Let me know if you like them.

I fly in on the 4th and stay at the Hotel Tiquan that day and night. I am still figuring out how this works too. I will keep in touch. We all need the network. I had a lap band almost 4 years ago now. I already went through all the diet, problems, exercise, food choices, restaurant problems, etc....with that surgery. The lap band did good and I have lost 64 pounds. I am getting it out and the sleeve as there are problems with reflux and inability to get certain foods past the band, namely meats. The band also has the bad side effect of throwing up all the time. We all joke about where we sit in the restaurant. We immediately check out where the bathroom is located and sit as close as possible......lol.......The sleeve was not an option when I had the band or I would have had the sleeve then. Any questions, ask. Glad to help. This is my first time to Mexico. I also had 11 plastic surgeries after my weight loss. As of today I am 204. My goal is 175.

i am also excited and ready i'm hoping to network a bit with others goin same time as us so we have a support group when we get home
