- I have had a gastric sleeve.
- Biography:
- i have struggle with my weight since age 19. Since having kids i gained 100 pounds. i keep getting more weight on and not been able to lose the weight. in 2010 i had the lapband done and i lost 70 pounds but i regained everything and was not able to lose anymore.. It was a fail attempt on me. i felt like a failure. I now iam looking for a new chance at doing the sleeve. I think this will change my life. my surgery date is schedule for march 18. iam excited and scared at the same time. But iam looking forward to getting my life back.

i know we cant drink any liquids 30 minutes after or before a meal. does anyone why we cant. i never asked why we couldnt. I really liked to know. Its important to me.
Food temptation.......

My cousin came over today and my husband ordered pizza ( my favorite) and barbeque ribs. boy it was hard being around all that food. i knew i couldnt eat it. i was 11 days post op. i tried some soup and it was hard taking it down. i had some lemon tea and i only had alittle bit. it wasnt making me feel good to drink it so i threw it out. i am so gasy. i think maybe thats one reason why i cant consume anything. i feellike drinking juice prodces gas. i am not sure if it does. i am taking gas x strips,
10 days post op.......

i still have so much gas. the gas strips arent really helping. i keep wanting to burp but it doesnt really help. i wish i could for a whole day non stop til it all came out. i need to go back to clear liquids. iam not keeping any food down. iam going back to protein shakes. i think i will add some fruit, make it taste it better. i went to the doctor today, i was glad i got some of my stitches out. the doctor wasnt happy i didnt get after care at the doctor in mexico. believe me i want happy either
how much will i be able to eat?

i am just 1 week post op. i had 2 oz of lentils and i threw up. i can barely hold down juices. water makes me throw up. i see posts of people eating meals. how much will i be able to eat at a meal? how and when can i start consuming protein? i had some yogurt and kept that down. but i crave real food. i am worried. i still feel so tired and so full of gas. my body just wants the bed. tomorrow hopefully they take out my stitches. tomorrow will be 10 days post op. i crave cottage cheese and pudding

i just want to say thank u to all of u for ur support and kind words. i dont know what i would do with all of u. iam happy to know u also depend me when someone sends me a bad smirk. u guys have been awesome. right now iam going thru a tough time dealing with the after effects of the surgery and u been there behind me and i just want to say thank u.
