Hi! So now that you're 2 weeks out, what are you thinking about going back to work? How's your recovery going?

I work postpartum, antepartum and gyne surgery- an all around women's unit. We do have to get people out of bed and transfer them when their legs are still numb and we only get one lunch break and very little time for snacking. I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up with the fluids and stay hydrated with all the running around! Thanks for posting the question again. It's been a week and I wouldn't want to go back now. I didn't take any pain meds at all- that was never an issue but I'm uncomfortable and bloated and every time I drink my stomach does funny things and I want to burp. I just worry about being weak and lightheaded from lack of food and fluids. Right now just staying hydrated is an all day chore.

Yeah, good point. I work 8s, so I'm sure it's more difficult when you work 12s. What type of nursing do you do? How has your recovery been so far?
