hi molly! i haven't been on in quite some time. how are you? did you do it?
  3. Hi hennessy

Thanks so much for all your input and encouragement, & congratulations on your great result as well as your courage. Nice that you have some relatives in the land down under.... which state are they in... I'm in Sydney NSW. I dont have much time to reply right now but I will write properly soon. Tonight hopefully (its 1:30pm here now). I have some questions specific to bipolar & Sleeve but just a random question for now: do you know what size Bougie they used on you. I am still battling the portion size too, and if the 36f that my surgeon said he would do fo me because of my fears of feelings of deprivation which could result in depression or mania. I read somewhere that 40 can also have great resolts. I'm afraid of feeling tooo different to everyone else.

I really need to go... have an appointment. Thanks again H i really appreciate you writing and I hope we can stay in touch. Especially if i bite the bullet, rebell against my mums huge reservations and take the leap of faith you did.

    ciao for now,
JO (mollys my partners dogs name lol)

Part 2: Eventually you willl start to feel so healthy that if you attempt to overeat you will feel sick, and you'll eventually get the hang of it. Everyone around you will have full plates, and you will have 4 tablespoons of food. You savor it. Chew at least 25 times & ENJOY. You'll end up finishing your meal at the same time they do, as they scarf it down, lol. Anymore questions let me know. I have lots of family in Australia, and they are the nicest people in the world, so I think we'll get along great Talk to you soon!

Hi Molly! I replied to your post in the Mental Illness forum & also wanted to touch up on these questions..... I drink my protein in store bought pre-made shakes. I'm not regimented enough to stop and count calories, grams in everything I eat. It doesn't mix well with our disease. We have enough on our minds already. After constant worry of stretching my pouch, my Dr. basically told me to chill out. I could not have done any damage at this point. That it takes eating large portions of food over a very long period of time, so I've finally settled down with that. Emotionally, with the exception of worry (since that's what comes naturally to us), you can't go anywhere but up. Just monitor your moods, tell other people to point it out if you don't see any changes in your behavior. Take your meds and crush them. I mix in flavored greek yogurt. It's absolutely disgusting and you may find yourself skipping meds on occasion because it tastes bad and it takes a lot more time. But don't do that. I learned the hard way. And since eating is an addiction, a lifestyle, and the whole society revolvs around food, you will go through a grieving period.
