Wow, I can't believe it's been 7 months since my surgery. I am so glad I had this surgery. I admit the 1st 6 weeks were not much fun , but I have not really had any problems at all. I saw the Dr yesterday , I am 4 weeks post op now and have lost a total of 30 pounds ! I am happy with that ! I can now move into puréed foods and start trying some soft foods! Yeah! I am having a hard time getting all my protein in. Everything taste so sweet it makes me gag. I switched from soy milk to 1% reg milk and now I have more gas pains. The nutritionist told me to get Lactaid milk and try gas x strips ,so I am doing a little better today. I am thankful to have these 4 weeks behind me

I had my surgery yesterday everything went well . Very little nausea that went away with 1 dose of medication. My only problem is that I can not pass my urine on my own... So I get to spend another night in the hospital. Oh well , I am sipping my clear liquids and taking oral pain meds now hand walking the halls. I am so thankful to have this surgery behind me and begin the next phase of my new life! God is good! I will keep you poste!!! Bobbie

" He says "well what's your goal" and I say "140 lbs". So he tells me he wants me to have a carotid ultrasound and a 24
