Thank you for your encouragement in your response to my blog. I was being held captive by my addiction. It doesn't want me to quit. That is just the part of me that is holding on to what is comfortable. Bad, but comfortable. I am okay now. I posted it because it wouldn't leave my head. It roamed around in there for days, and was gone after I read the posts. Thanks again. I enjoy your posts too

Had my 2 week post op visit yesterday, feeling great just a little weak . My Dr. Goes very slow . I can now have cream soups , sf pudding and yogurt ! Along with my 80 grams of protein and 80 ounces of fluids everyday. But the best part is I have lost 20 lbs since my preop diet til now! I just wish I could get rid of this taste in my mouth , yuck!

Keep up the good work... these first weeks will pass before you know it and you will be feeling normal again ;-) If you go back to some of the first entries in my blog you can read about my weekly journey from the beginning. Stay strong and stay focused!!!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, the surgery went great I am home now and able to pass my urine now. That was the only problem I had . Everyone was great at the hospital . My surgeon , dr grantham was fantastic. I am busy now drinking my clear liquids and protein . I have to drink 80 -110 ounces a day . That's a full time job. I will keep posting and praying for everyone that has surgery coming up.

By the time you see this you will be done with surgery. The bariatric team at First Health is awesome..and they will keep you motivated to walk..Good Luck and I wish you well

Hello. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I'm certain you are anxious yet nervous about the next steps. I know I am feeling that way and I don't even have the date set. Please keep us posted .

Well its hard to believe but tomorrow is my surgery! I am as ready as I can be. Excited , nervous but ready !

hey, my surgery is sept 14,2012. I see Dr Grantham on Monday , EGD on TUESDAY and start my 2 week pre op diet . I am so excited but nervous. How are you doing? I will be keeping up with you. So glad to know someone close by . Do you go to support group?
